“Beautiful place to visit”
Reviewed August 13, 2014

We travelled by train from Villefrange de Rouergue to Nanjac. The journey was only about 20 mins. The trip was extremely interesting and I would recommend Nanjac to anyone who likes to visit somewhere beautiful to stop and stare, drink tea (or beer) and simply rest a-while to enjoy the amazing views.

“Najac Chateau”
Reviewed August 6, 2014

Well worth the climb as the views are stunning from this fortress, not just from the top but all the way up. Najac village at the bottom is beautiful in itself and the climbing road to the chateau is very attractive. Our 3-year old grandson managed fine but we had to hold his hand through walkways. It is worth taking some drinks with you, particularly on a hot day. Great place for a picnic, too, if you can carry it up. Down in the village there is a small restaurant with a terrace at the back where you can see the chateau and the picturesque countryside.

“Outstanding views”
Reviewed July 31, 2014

For 5 euros, you get a very good tour of the Fortress. However, the best part of the tour are the amazing views from every level you walk through. It really is impressive. Small children may find it a challenge getting around some of the walkways and circular stairs.

“Climb worthwhile”

Historic importance and interesting to walk over and the view from the tower , after an arduous climb, is fabulous.
