My husband and I stayed in this beautiful "Hotel de Charme " for 5 nights in August 2015. The owner and maitre d greet you at your car with a handshake. The hotel is set in acres of tree filled garden, a lovely outdoor pool and hot tub. Bedrooms have air conditioning which ensures a good nights sleep. Beautiful dinners, 4 courses and if like me you do not like fish or fowl just discuss this with the owner and she will accomodate you. The food is formally and elegantly served and is good value for such a beautiful place, I presume the limited money helps them to keep the prices reasonable. It is not worh the bother of having dimmer anywhere else.

We stayed here for 10 days and would definitely come back. The hotel is a beautiful country house set in extensive mature gardens. We opted for half board and the food, including a set four-course dinner, was fantastic. Our room was large, well equipped and spotlessly clean, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. We left them feeling more like friends than paying guests.

On our arrival we were greeted by an alert young man, who showed us to our room and, as it turned out, was also our waiter that evening. Intelligent, multilingual, friendly but not without class - a real pleasure and that sums up out stay at the Domaine de Rasigous.

The room was large, spotless and tastefully decorated; the owner is obviously interested in art. Soft lights were on, classical music was flowing from the large TV system, and we immediately felt at home.

Before dinner we went for a stroll in the large park. Not many flowers, but lots of large trees. Unfortunately, the pool was closed as there had been some sort of problem with the liner.

We enjoyed an apéritif in the salon to the soothing strains of Eduardo Falú, whom I admit I had not heard of before. Dinner was a set menu which the waiter had presented to us on our arrival. We did not feel the need to ask for any changes and enjoyed a wonderful, meal composed of a vegetable mille-feuille, s surprising zucchini velouté (surprising because it was not served served first) served with a flavourful accompaniment of fromage frais, oregano and black olive powder, then a tasty pork tenderloin dish and for dessert a brioche perdue with roasted fruit.   Delicious!

At breakfast we had the opportunity to meet the chef, a charming woman, originally from Argentina and the co-owner of the hotel with her husband.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a peaceful, luxurious yet unpretentious stay.

I have no doubt that we will be returning.

We stayed at the Domaine for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is listed in the "Hotel de Charme" and we could not agree more. From the long drive through a beautiful garden to the residence, it was very inviting. The hotel is small enough that you don't need to check in as someone is waiting for you and just requires your name.
We were lucky to be given a room on 2 levels in a small tower, very warm décor and the best shower in France so far.
The service was excellent and friendly. The food despite being a unique menu (Diet requests are considered) was gourmet standards and eating outside on the terrace was charming.
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. It is a great base to visit all the world renowned sites close by.

Room Tip: Corner tower on 2 level was charming

We had a lovely six night break in Domaine de Rasigous and were warmly welcomed by front-of-house man Hank. The main building is a beautiful two story creeper-clad old house (it's actually three story, the owners live on the top floor, but we didn't see them at all during our stay).

We were assigned a two story annex across the driveway from the main hotel. The apartment had a very comfortable living area downstairs, with mini-bar and CD player. Upstairs, the bedroom had a large and very comfortable king sized bed with washroom (twin basins), a nice powerful shower and toilet all en-suite. there was a large TV with DVD player and an iPod dock/alarm clock.

We were told that the owners are huge music and film fanatics and guests are encouraged to visit the wonderful library and browse at their leisure.

The lounge area in the main building was a lovely place to gather both before and after dinner - interesting art, large sofas, jazz music and low lighting. The dining area was a bit of a disappointment and lacked any real charm - one central chandelier really didn't do the quirky art collection justice. Food on the whole was good and was a fixed menu, so as long as you liked everything that was put in front of you, all was OK - vegetarians were catered for without any fuss at all. We would have liked to have seen some wonderful French cheeses on the menu from time to time, but alas none were forthcoming.

The only real gripe was the WiFi - the hotel advertises state-of -the-art WiFi in every room, this however was not the case and it point blank refused to recognise any Apple product anywhere in the hotel. We were told that the quality of the WiFi reception varies with the humidity, this is simply not good enough in this age of constant communication.

The swimming pool, spa and gym were not open during our stay (last week of June), so can't comment. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Again, lots of quirky art installations hidden around the place (the owners seem to have a fascination with lady's bottoms!).

Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and Hank did everything he could to make our stay a pleasant one.

Room Tip: The annex room is lovely and peaceful (except for the odd owl screech during the night, but that was kind of nice too). No air conditioning, but that wasn't an issue at that time of year (June).
