A very well-run and comfortable hotel, not difficult to find if you follow the signage closely. Very quiet, waking to the sound of birds. Some delicious food, very good breakfasts and very attentive service.
A good position for visiting the Pont du Gard, Uzes etc. and with lovely walks around the countryside.

Although we arrived at the end of their season the only thing missing was the pression - and I cannot criticise them for that. The welcome was first rate, the room beautifully quirky and all meals were superb - well presented excellent dishes with attentive staff. We will be back!

Clean and modern, this was a very nice hotel with a great host and a fine restaurant. Close to the Pont du Gard, but far from everything else. Not in the center of town, so there was little access to any kind of local color and the roads in and out were difficult/close.

Bottom line, I would stay there again on business in a heartbeat - predictable, friendly and exactly as ordered. Not a place to base out of for a vacation unless you want to spend a lot of time in the car - better to stay downtown Avignon or Nimes.

dear sir, thank you for taking the time to write a review about our hotel. We are glad you have enjoyed your stay. Concerning the A/C, just before your stay, we had a storm that broke one part of our A/C unit. It was only partially working whilst you where staying in our hotel. We have ordered the broken part and it will be fixed very shortly. And then, the A/C will be very efficient.
We look forward to welcoming you again shortly

What a delightful dinner and overnight stay we had at Le Gardon. The hosts were very, very nice and we were pleased to see that it is a child friendly place. Even though we had no young people with us, it was nice to see how others were treated. The dinner was great and fairly priced. All in all, we would return if visit Pon du Gard again.,

Have just had the most lovely long weekend break at Le Gardon. Janice, Jean-Luc and their team made us very welcome - nothing was too much trouble and Jean-Luc recommended some terrific local wines for us. The food was exceptional quality - so much so that we chose to eat in each evening and try another dish from the menu (very reasonably priced). The food at breakfast was equally delicious with home made yoghurt and jams plus all the expected croissants, cheese etc. We hired a car for the weekend and i think this is a necessity for this type of break. It only took us about 45 minutes from Montpellier Airport to reach the hotel. The area around the hotel is quiet but beautiful and I plan to return again and try out some of the local watersports with my children (canoing and kayaking). The hotel was a fantastic base for us and we visited Uzes market on the Saturday morning. What a market - it sold everything from antiques, homewears, fabric to the most marvellous cheese and hams. We also explored Ile Sur la Sorgue which also had some lovely shops selling a variety of goods. Our accomdation was great - I shared a twin room with en suite and we had a lovely view overlooking the garden area. The weather was fabulous and although we could have done a little more sightseeing (we did plan to visit local vineyards) it was really great to relax on the sun loungers in the lovely garden area and soak up the sunshine. I will definitely return again and would recommend the hotel to anyone interested in visiting this beautiful area. You won't be disappointed.

I spent 3 nights away at Janice and Jean-Luc's sanctum of a hotel, tucked away in beautiful surroundings and a wonderful base for exploring Uzes, Ile Sur la Sorgue, Avignon and beyond! Although we were only away for 3 nights - it felt much longer due to the relaxation we all felt. Travelling away for my mum's 65th birthday with some really great friends - it was the weekend we'd all dreamt about! The food is exceptional and very reasonable indeed for the quality. We ended up eating in every night - because the food, ambience and setting was perfect! We were blessed with great weather - but even without that - this hotel is fab! The rooms are very comfortable indeed - 3 of us shared a family room with a wonderful balcony.
Also - the wine list is exceptionally reasonable and Jean-Luc is excellent at making wonderful local recommendations!
I loved the gardens too - and will be returning soon! Thanks again for such a wonderful stay!

Room Tip: Try and get a balcony room and definitely a family room if you are 3!
