Stayed for a night whilst visiting normandy/ Mt st Michel. It's centrally located, clean and has super friendly staff. It's also very reasonably priced. Only gripe I had was that a drain passed through our bathroom which made a flushing sound when someone above us used their facilities. But hey ho, it's a good little spot so no bother really.

We stayed here for two nights during a driving vacation that took us across Normandy. We chose Avranches since it seemed to be a central location from which to explore both Mont St. Michel and St. Malo. Irrespective of the hotel, this may not have been the best choice, as there is a wide selection of hotels in both places, which would have reduced the amount of driving.

The "Patton" is fairly typical of small two-star hotels, offering little more or less than others. There is good, free off-street parking directly behind the hotel, and the rooms are of decent size for this class. However, while basically sound, the hotel is in desperate need of a refit--and I do mean desperate. Wallpaper is peeling, the carpeting has seen much better days, and towel racks are coming off the walls. I really cannot recommend staying here until the place has been thoroughly renovated. It's something that decent hotels do every so often as a matter of course, but here it seems like they simply do not want to make the investment--a false economy, in my opinion.

Stayed here 1 night last week on our way from cherbourg to britanny, as we got a deal of €45 for a double room. Hotel is nicely located about 5-10mins walk from the centre of town and view of Mont St Michel, but has off-street parking for just over half of the rooms behind the hotel. Rooms were clean and quite spacious, although the toilet was separate from the bathroom in a cupboard less than 1m x 1m!!! Didnt have breakfast as left early, but overall a very nice small hotel.

I stayed here while following the breakout path of Patton's Third Army, and was thrilled to find a hotel with this name.

It is a classic, standard 2 star hotel, good size room, good bath, basic furnishings. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly. For the price, it is excellent.

Avranches is small city, but it's on the path of the breakout leading to the battle of the Falaise Gap. I naturally started in Bayeaux (the best place to tour the D-Day beaches and sites), then St. Lo, and Coustances. Obviously, I'm a history buff.

Anyway, if you stay in Avranches, this is a good hotel

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Great Value for the price. The furniture was old and futsy but the rooms were spacious and clean.
The town is very small but delightful. We used it as a launching pad for Mont Saint-Michel visiting the next day. Don't expect luxury but for
the price you get clean, spacious and friendly.
