The four chambre d'hotes are on two levels with their own entrances in beautiful old stone buildings with terraces and tables and chairs outside in a friendly little village very near Sarlat, Domme and La Roque Gageac. The bike track is right behind if you are feeling energetic. You can also walk to the Dordogne river and through fields on pathways which are all well marked. The village has three choices of restaurants, a bakery, wine shop, small supermarket, butcher who also sells cold cuts - so there is always a choice of somewhere and something to eat! There is a lively weekly market on the street in front.
The quality of the accommodation is of the highest standard - co-ordinated down to the mugs accompanying the tea/coffee making facility in the room! The shower area is about 8' square and very modern but it is the breakfasts we shall always remember. Sometimes in France, breakfast is forgettable but not here. From the table setting with Limoges china to the fresh fruit, the breads, the jams and the juices as well as breakfast cereals with choices of teas and coffee, this will set you up for the day. Breakfast is in another of the stone buildings just in front of you. The owner, Annie Boyer, made us feel most welcome and was
really friendly. Our only regret was that we were staying for only four days but we will definitely be back. We have stayed in many places in France but this is at the top. Get there!
