“Memorable Meal”
Reviewed July 10, 2011

We learned of this restaurant by looking on Trip Advisor. The menu is inventive and all the dishes are homemade-including sausages, sodas and ice cream. There were so many delicious choices that it was hard to decide. The menu is posted on large brown paper for it changes daily. Mia and Grace is a "farm to table" restaurant that works with local farmers.
Next time we are traveling through Michigan we will make a point to eat there again.
It is worth a journey.

“Creative flavors, fresh, homemade”
Reviewed June 3, 2011

Wonderful, artsy bistro setting. Nice service. Had panko crusted goat cheese salad to start, fantastic. Great oyster, bacon melt, asparagus salad, sweet potatoe chips (ask for creole aoli to dip), finished with carrot cake. All homemade, including bread. A fantastic gem.

“A Real Muskegon Treasure”
Reviewed April 24, 2011

I call Jeremy and Jamie (the proprietors) the god and goddess of food in Muskegon. And while I'm happy their bakery/bistro comes in #4 in these rankings (as of this writing), I think it should be even higher.

When you eat here, you immediately realize how great fresh food can be, when prepared with expertise (and a little whimsy). Everything is fresh and home-made in their kitchen--even the sodas. Try the ginger ale! The menu is written in large letters on brown paper, which hangs on the back wall. It changes regularly--items come and go. There are usually about 5 entrees, and a couple of excellent dinner salads. There is a particularly good selection of sandwiches, including some quirky items like Duck PBJ and Pork Belly Reuben. Normally "sandwich" = "light meal." Not here. You get a sizable plate of food that will leave you quite full. But no matter how stuffed you may be, do not skip dessert! If you do, you will miss the highlight of the Mia and Grace experience. I tried their Key lime pie last week and was immediately transported not to the Keys, but to heaven. Phenomenal! Almost as good is their Buttermilk Pie with Praline Topping.

If you consider yourself a passionate Foodie, this is your place. So of you're passing through Muskegon, or if you've taken the ferry over from Milwaukee, plan to stop here for a meal. You won't regret it.

“These chefs put out the finest plates of food in all of Muskegon.”
Reviewed April 24, 2011

The chefs are a man and wife team, and they are so connected to their restaurant that they live in the flat just above. Unique plates are displayed on the wall, and the staff are anxious to answer any of your questions. Food is always perfectly cooked, and foodies will find several plates that are most interesting. Well-prepared, standard dishes are also present on their menu. Other restaurants in Muskegon are quite good, but this one is the best. Since they are just starting out, liquor is not available.
