We stayed at Shoreline Inn on 7/3 & 7/4 and left to go hang out for the day on 7/4. We came back to the hotel as the fireworks were starting and there was no where to park. The manager at the hotel basically told us to bad. I said I have a handicap child and she said we could drop him at the front door. I have contacted Shoreline Inn's manager 4 times as of today and she has not returned my call. We have stayed at Shoreline Inn 3 summers at the same time and never had any problems. I am so disappointed in them. Especially for not even returning our phone calls. They obviously know they did something wrong. Never will stay there again!!!

I have stayed here twice in the past 30 days. The first time was with my best girlfriends. We had a 2 Queen bed suite, which was a corner room on the third floor. The view was absolutely magical. Room was immaculate and it had three slider doors which we were able to open and get the lake breezes blowing through, lulling us to sleep. The entire place is decorated in beautiful antiques, which is lovely.

The outdoor pool area is very nice. They have a grassy area adjacent to the pool which has covered cabanas. It fit all four of us ladies and we sat there for hours, drinking wine and talking.

Only two small complaints--the elevators are not sufficient for the size of the hotel. We had to let several full elevators pass us by because the luggage carts would not fit with all the other people. The second complaint is over the breakfast. There was a large selection, but the "powdered egg patties" were inedible. It really is not that much work to cook up some REAL scrambled eggs.

The second visit was with my husband, for our anniversary. When we told them what we were celebrating, they upgraded us to a room with a fireplace and a hot tub in the room. Exactly the same experience as the first time. We will definitely return.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a room on the water side. The view is spectacular.

My family and I checked out this morning and absolutely did not want to leave! What a gorgeous property. Everything about it was amazing! My only complaint (which really isn't a complaint) is that the breakfast fell a little short. They did have a great selection but compared to others it was a little more plain.

The view from our room was spectacular! 24 hour pool was a lovely treat. It was fancy and old fashioned. The hallways were kept very cool which was a great thing on the days we were there.

Staff was so very friendly. Thanks for a great stay. We hope to come back soon.

On 7/15/2013 we ancient (late 80's) seniors enjoyed sweeping lake views from 7th floor room, but the kindness and good humor of the skilled staff at the hotel and their Lake House grill more than
matched the luxurious property. Restaurant manager Jason Devette has a crew of high school and college age workers who were a joy to have around as we enjoyed our fresh, tangy salads and richly stuffed shrimp, along with a stunning sunset. In the midst of such good food, scenery, and sunset my 88 year old wife had a health related episode which required immediate attention.
Without disturbing other dining guests the manager and his young people handled everything with gentle, caring efficiency. The staff's youthful cheerfulness was good medicine, too. It's young people like Karli and Parker (and others whose names I did not catch) who assure us that Muskegon and perhaps the rest of the country will soon be in better hands. Congratulations to management for recruiting, training, and supervising young workers who can take pride in worthwhile work well done! Thanks to their parents and teachers too.

Stayed here night of Monday July 9. Hotel decor rather different strange antique look in rooms, overly large furniture. Our room had an a/c problem we could not get a/c to stop. Supposedly if you opened doors small deck area a/c would automatically stop, unfortunately did not work for us. Called to desk and they indicated maintenance would check. Never happened,so we left door open and a/c on what an energy waste. Breakfast served in a ballroom like room, but choices are very poor. We stayed here because of easy access to catching the ferry from Muskegon to Milwaukee but confident there are better spots to stay.
