Description: Garden of palm trees and Gariboldi’s muses The restaurant is located in Vis Town in a Gothic-renaissance garden dating back to the 16th century. The garden is inspiring with its spaciousness and beauty of the Mediterranean vegetation echoing the rhythmical music of crickets. The place is famous for its traditional Dalmatian food with the preference of the fish menu. Dishes are prepared by the recipes of the chefs with life-long experience and are served by the host as a tasty plata. When you find yourself in a scenery like this one you’ll easily imagine your wedding dream.

It has a lot of potential. But customers needs to be able to pay with card. It's 2018, and if you have food in the price range that this restaurant does, you need to have a card machine.
But the food and service was perfect, the seating outside was amazing.
The risotto was just regular cooked rice. But all the other food was good, the creamy shrimp soup was truly amazing! They recommended it for us and it was awesome! It is a good restaurant for special occasions.

Fabulous meal with 16 friends here. Not easy to find but about a 10 minute walk through the narrow little walks. Surrounded by a high wall. Very private.

We had a wonderful waiter. (I apologize for not remembering his name but very entertaining!) Fresh caught fish brought out on a platter and they tell you all about each one. They also served family style so everyone could try everything. Shrimp soup was fabulous! Great hidden gem!

To be honest, when I first saw this place from the outside I thought it looked pretentious and that it's probably a tourist trap. I don't know how it must be during the season, it's probably crowded, but we came around 9 pm, without any reservations and they seated us on a nice terrace overlooking a beautiful garden. I really liked the fact that the menu is written on just one page. Their dishes are simple but everything we ate was fresh and it was superbly prepared. My husband said that in his entire life he never ate a beefsteak so tasty. This place is a bit pricey but it's so worth it. The food, the atmosphere, the ambiance, the garden, the service... it was a memorable experience and we will definitely come back next spring. :)

There were some odd things about this restaurant that made no sense. A lot has already been mentioned in previous comments. The fact I had exactly the same issues as I had read about previously probably didn't help as I knew they weren't one offs. On the plus side food and setting were great and all team very friendly. Just basic service elements a bit lacking.
