We stumbled across this place, while walking down the main promenade.

Whilst having a quick glance at the menu (and feeling a bit unsure), the owner stopped and spoke to us about some of the dishes. Including mentioning dishes not listed on the menu

We decided to take a seat and see what was on offer.

It really paid off.

Girlfriend had a full, delicious sea bream dish. Beautifully cooked and well seasoned. Crisp skin, white flakey fish. Simply presented, but just done to perfection.

I ordered a risotto with prawns. This completely won me over. Lots of prawns, in a delicious tomato based sauce. Simple, but excellent and a very generous portion too.

One of the most unassuming, but finest restaurants we had the pleasure of eating in. Really homely. Does not feel like the usual tourist affair.

Very friendly and helpful staff assisted us with choosing a wine which the owner himself produces, and was really refreshing and tasty. Finished our meal with a carob liquor (again, produced by the owner) and it was excellent. The staff are very attentive and are genuinely keen to hear you are enjoying your meal.

Would definitely recommend stopping by and asking what is on offer. The prices of the fish is better than most of the other places in Vis, you won't regret calling in.

We wanted to have one of the best experiance in Vis and this restorant gave us that. The food, the wine and the service was excellent and we are definitely coming back. The owner, who is aslo the waiter was very friendly and chatty which made us to stay longer. We didnt have to wait long for the food which was very surprising and we also got some extra portions. Overall great atmosphere and place.

Dunno where to begin here.....met by a member of staff at 11.30am who said they were serving food until 12 noon Decided to wait as the place looked quiry and kinda cool However, what a disappointment We waited 45 mins for food that was just grand, was way overpriced and the staff didnt care what we thought of it either By far the worst meal in Croatia n probably one of the worst Ive ever had A complete and utter disaster of a spot!

This little restaurant is right at the beginning of the pathway. You would sit outside and the owner will fairly suggest you what to have. We had selection of appetizers which were almost like main dishes. The quality of the many portions of different fish we had were quite good although there is only little selection of local fish as most of them are from atlantic. I recommend the ricciola and calamari as main. In general we had a nice experience for reasonable money

This restaurant doesn't look much from the outside, but serves up delicious fresh seafood at reasonable prices. We chatted with the waiter (the brother of Medo who operates the www.Vis-special.com tourist agency) and he recommended some local favourites and what was fresh that day. We started with the seafood soup, which comprises a light clear broth with a small amount of fish meat and flavoured with parsley, before moving on to dish of both marinated and salted sardines that the waiter arranged for us so that we could try both styles of preparation. We finished with a grilled sea-bream that was heavily flavoured with garlic and was simple and delicious. We stuck with the house wine, which comes from the familiy's vineyard and which was as good as any of the house wines we had enjoyed during our stay. Quiet and unassuming, but fresh and full of flavour, this was a great way to spend our last meal on Vis.
