We stumbled across this place, while walking down the main promenade.
Whilst having a quick glance at the menu (and feeling a bit unsure), the owner stopped and spoke to us about some of the dishes. Including mentioning dishes not listed on the menu
We decided to take a seat and see what was on offer.
It really paid off.
Girlfriend had a full, delicious sea bream dish. Beautifully cooked and well seasoned. Crisp skin, white flakey fish. Simply presented, but just done to perfection.
I ordered a risotto with prawns. This completely won me over. Lots of prawns, in a delicious tomato based sauce. Simple, but excellent and a very generous portion too.
One of the most unassuming, but finest restaurants we had the pleasure of eating in. Really homely. Does not feel like the usual tourist affair.
Very friendly and helpful staff assisted us with choosing a wine which the owner himself produces, and was really refreshing and tasty. Finished our meal with a carob liquor (again, produced by the owner) and it was excellent. The staff are very attentive and are genuinely keen to hear you are enjoying your meal.
Would definitely recommend stopping by and asking what is on offer. The prices of the fish is better than most of the other places in Vis, you won't regret calling in.
