Description: Right at the heart of this intellectual and humid city is located “El Sesteo” a nice setting with a nice view and a unique decoration. The food is nice has a good variety of things, Local food, Mexican, Sea food (ocean is only 20min away) and international cuisine, Service is pretty good and all of the walls are decorated with the local dance, folklore and most important people of Leon one of them Ruben Dario Father of the modernism and prince of the Spanish language. They are open for lunch and dinner and probably have the best view of any restaurant in Leon, have a nice breeze that run through the place and a nice view to the street which you can see the locals walking around the main square.Go and enjoy this place and give a try to local own places.

I think this place would be an ideal spot to stretch out a coffee or a beer and people watch if you are a tourist and want to relieve yourself of plenty dollars or cordobas.

But I chose it to have a full meal anyways and I was really hungry during world cup in Brazil.

I ordered watermelon juice (came quickly) and a fish filet platter, which took *no lie* 30 minutes to come out, and it had rice, salad, and all kinds of pre-made/pre-cooked room temperature stuff on it. There was no other table occupied in the place but plenty of locals standing outside the railing watching the "free" TV. The fish tasted like it had been cooked for over 30 minutes, though - definitely no life left in it, unless as a replacement shoe sole for my construction boots.

Total check was $15 US, definitely a superior pricing scheme for the locale (no booze, no coffee, no dessert, just plate and juice)

Do not recommend unless as a watering hole or coffee shop with expected slow service. Don't use as a restaurant. Much better exist in town.

I went to this restaurant for lunch today. Had a club sandwich with fries. The food was okay, although a little pricey. The location of the restaurant is top notch. It sits right on the corner of the plaza, so you can sit there and drink a frosty beverage while people-watching in the square. After lunch I stayed a little longer to drink a beer and read a book. It was very quiet and enjoyable. They also had nice, clean restrooms to use before heading back out on the square.

Considering that I spent $2 for a tummy pleasing street dinner the night before, the prospect of dropping $20 for lunch was a tough choice. A local had recommended it, so I took a chance and I was rewarded with a minty Nica Mojito and perfectly grilled marinated chicken breast with mango chile sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet maduros and salad. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite from my sidewalk table while watching the town walk by, distracted at times by the flocks of birds which paint pictures in the sky above the Basilica Catedral de la Asuncion.

We just came here for coffee (thank god for that!) and the place was really busy but understaffed...

It took a while to get the waiter's attention, and the coffee was okay (35 cords)

They also have this annoying water spray on anyone sitting near the doors.
