Description: Right at the heart of this intellectual and humid city is located “El Sesteo” a nice setting with a nice view and a unique decoration. The food is nice has a good variety of things, Local food, Mexican, Sea food (ocean is only 20min away) and international cuisine, Service is pretty good and all of the walls are decorated with the local dance, folklore and most important people of Leon one of them Ruben Dario Father of the modernism and prince of the Spanish language. They are open for lunch and dinner and probably have the best view of any restaurant in Leon, have a nice breeze that run through the place and a nice view to the street which you can see the locals walking around the main square.Go and enjoy this place and give a try to local own places.

You can't honestly beat this restaurant for location, it's right on the main square and has open sides so you'd think it would be an ideal place to relax and enjoy a meal etc... You'd be wrong!

Location aside the service is terrible, the wait for food can be up to an hour and then you may get offered something you didn't order? - Then it's whether you wait another hour or accept what's offered (without any apology I should add!)

Finally, make sure you check the prices before you order as they seem to "mysteriously increase" if a significant sized group (coach parties etc) appears! You have been warned.

I had dinner here with a group of friends in a week night. There was a good atmosphere from the main square directly outside and the place appeared to be clean. Unfortunately, despite not being busy the service was very slow and we ended up waiting an hour for our food. When the food finally did arrive several people in my group did not get what they had ordered and were told that they had been given something different because the kitchen had run out of certain foods. They did not explain why we had not been informed earlier but we were offered alternatives (although we would have to wait as the chef had other tables to cook for first!) Disappointed but satisfied with the fair prices we went back for drinks the next afternoon only to be charged three times what we had been charged the evening before. We challeged this and were refused a menu when we asked to see the prices. They denied having a menu despite having served us the night before. It turned out they had bumped the prices up due to more tourist activity in the area and were ripping tourists off at high prices. There was no apology and they told us it was not their problem, even if we had spent good money on dinner the night before. I cannot recommend this place if you are looking for friendly staff and good value for money.

Went there in a big group so service was poor. Vegetarians had little choice and many things on the menu did not exist. .. People who ordered spaghetti with tomato sauce were given something different without discussion due to running out of tomatoes!

Had dinner here one night - service slow but food tasty.

Went for drinks the next day they refused to provide menus to confirm prices. They'd trebled, yes trebled, the price of drinks on the basis of a cruise ship arrival. Absolutely disgusted by this unethical approach!

A great cafe on the corner of the plaza which if you get the right seat in a corner gives a great breeze. Coffee is excellent and service was very good. great place to sit, cool down and watch the world go by without being hurried off by the waiters or pressed to order more drinks or food.
