Im happy that the female cashiers are incredibly patient as I stumble over Spanish words to place my order daily. My favorite fresh juice drink is the pink squeezed dragonfruit or pitaya. The croissants here are good, but of course, not like the baked goods you find in Paris. However its probably the best in Nicaragua.Their mille feuille or vanilla custard leaves much to be desired. It was a little dry. I like to watch the owners kitten and dogs play with each other. Definitely a tourist hang out. The staff once kept me waiting longer than 20 minutes for my drink. I reminded them and it was brought quickly to my table.

We found all the supermarket and store bread in Leon so sweet and full of sugar so this place is a must for good quality bakery items

getting tired of central american food? Then head to the French Bakery. Everyone in town knows it just as the French Bakery and the food is surprisingly good and authentic even only being able to use local ingredients. Prices are good and the food is fresh.

This place is a great space for students to work, to write, to share croissant coffee with a friend. It's nice that there are both locals and tourists present. It's quite cute and charming with a nice staff. Although, they need to pick one genre of music as they are all over the place. They should stick to a couple types like French, Spanish, some light jazz and old classics that would suffice. It would boost the atmosphere up a couple knotches.

As for pastries, the pain and raisin was a bit disappointing and im not comparing it to a French or New York bakery. Maybe I should have ordered the chocolate croissant. But the coffee is great and the cheese plate looks awesome.
Would definitely come back and try something new like a sandwich or find someone to share a cheese plate with me:)

This place has some very tasty pastries and some very good coffee. There is a nice relaxing courtyard to sit and talk, or read or do your homework for your Spanish class. Everyone who works here is very friendly.
