Volcano boarding is epic - definitely a must do! Be prepared for a long hike - it is worth it though! Big Foot Hostel has a very friendly atmosphere, clean rooms and comfortable beds - you should stay if you up for a good party! Great bathroom facilities.

Volcano Boarding was fantastic. Definietely a challenging hike to get up to the top but a wonderful view and a fun time getting down. Hostel was nice and clean, quiet time was well adhered to! Staff were kind and pool tables and hammocks were a great bonus !

Room Tip: all rooms are great

This is long past due seeing how I left Nicaragua in mid August. I was working in Leon for the summer and really wanted to go volcano boarding but everyone I worked with already went. So I decided to go with BigFoot on my last free day in Leon. Everyone was super nice and I totally recommend them for trips and for lodging. I never stayed there but through work and play I got to know the people who run the Hostel. Back to volcano boarding, its super fun and no need to be afraid, Carlos knows what he is doing and makes sure that everyone know the proper way to go down the volcano. Also don't forget the beer on the return trip as well as the mojitos upon arrival at Bigfoot.

Big foot offers an adventures dream. Great atmosphere, food, drinks and info on the kool n fun stuff to do on ur journey. The volcano boarding being the highlight, accompanied with a wicked ride there and a great guide to fill you in on all the volcanic / landscape information which was a great addition. Def recommend it. Feels safe, giving a home away from home.

The Bigfoot Hostel was a grey stay we booked all our tours straight through them. Drinks, activities and rooms all well priced. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Make sure you make the volcano boarding trip! Had an awesome trip a once in a lifetime experience you won't regret. Our guide Carlos was heaps of fun and full of info. Definately reccomend!

BigFoot hostel was an amazing place to stay. Definitely a party place. The rooms were clean (could've used an extra fan... TOOO HOT to sleep at night). Food and drinks were cheap. Went volcano boarding with BigFoot, LOVED IT. Carlos, the guide that took us volcano boarding, was knowledgeable and made our experience FUN. He takes unbelievable photo's so you don't have to worry about taking your camera to Cerro Negro. Would definitely stay at BigFoot again and recommend others to as well.

Room Tip: Both dorms and private rooms are great options. Dorms have lockers!!
