We arrived unannounced in the early hours and we're accommodated in a small but clean room, it is a hostel but doesn't need to smell of sweaty feet and be noisy. None of which this was. Next day the found us a better room. The place is a little haven from the stiffleing heat of Leon although like most of Nicaragua there is no aircon. All rooms have fans but the heat at night can be overwhelming. So. Lack of aircon is my only criticism. Staff were very friendly and the food was terrific. Close by is a laundry and lots of reasonably priced restaurants.

Arrived late without prior booking and staff were very helpful and accommodating especially as this was over the Easter period, which can be busy.
Our first room , 4 bedded, dorm for our family was very hot and one of the fans didn't work which made it quite stifling. However the next day we changed rooms which was much better, 2 storey room with 3 separate sleeping areas to accommodate the 4 of us.
The breakfast was great on site and the tea and coffee on offer between 7 am and 10pm was great touch.
Lazy bones has the luxury if a pool, much needed after a day of site seeing and activity in hot April!
The staff were helpful and offered advice and assistance. Great price, great location in a quieter part of the city. Would highly recommend.
There are numerous great places to eat as well as street food in the cathedral square in the evening, tasty food with humour from the cooks.
Unfortunately due to the numerous earthquakes we could go volcanoes surfing when we were there so cut our trip short and carried on travelling around Nicaragua.

Stayed a night here passing thru to Jiquillo.
Stayed in a room with private bathroom.
Room is nothing special but does the trick. It's clean which is important.
There is a "Nicaraguan safe" in our room which means over time people have burrowed out a hole under the mattress to hide personal objects.
Very quiet hostel in regards to the temperment of the guests. We walked by another hostel that evening and it was a gong show to be compared to a spring break in Cancun!!
Across from lazybones is a great little international restaurant. But it's actually HUGE!!! Big awesome courtyard and great staff.

We stayed at Lazybones and do not regret it one bit. Firstly they were very accommodating, arranging the pickup from San Juan del Sur for a fair price (25$) and the subsequent shuttle to the airport (15$). The location is perfect, go eat breakfast at El Desayuno right around the corner. They have their own tour booking agency but if they don't offer the tours you want, the others are on the same block (Tierra Nuestra, Quetzal Trekkers and Outdoor Adventures). This is also a pretty quiet place if you want to sleep at night. The price is also very fair for double rooms.

Glad we stayed there!

We stayed a night in Leon at the LazyBones hostel... Great safe place from where to enjoy the town, close to everything, quiet at night and with a nice refreshing pool... The price is right and the star is also quite nice. My only comment is the smell of bug spray, most likely Diazinon... The upside is there were no critters!!! Hope this review was helpful!!!

Room Tip: Far from the pool...

Best hostel we stayed in Nicaragua ! Very comfy, clean and vibe was super. There is also a very nice pool. We were going to stay for 3 nights but we loved them so much that we ended up stayed a week. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. They also organize tours at cheap prices.
We will definitely go back!

The people that work there are super nice and helpful, the private room we stayed in was spacious, cheap and cool enough at night. We got a room on the second floor which had a huge covered balcony. The best part about this place is the pool; they keep it clean, and after a day of walking around hot Leon, you will appreciate it!
