Quiet, peacefull and clean hotel (not a hostel feeling) with spacious common area. Friendly and attentive staff and good breakfasts. The swimmingpool is not big but just what you need in hot Leon. Minor but irritating is that there was nothing to hang your clothes on. In my room (#4) luckily the painting was missing, so I could hang my towel on the empty nail. But they promised to solve that and I found they do what they promise.

There're 2 spacious dorms with good beds, fans and personal big locker. bathroom is just outside the room and clean.
there's a big patio with hammocks and chairs to relax and in the back is a pool with lounge chairs. A pool table, computer, couch and tables & chairs for breakfast which is really good and well priced. Coffee for free and drinks and water refills for sale. Good wifi and friendly staff. At the reception is a lot of information of the city or your next destination.

We (couple, 41 & 50 years old) stayed at Lazy Bones Hostel for 4 nights in January 2014. We had a private room with shared bathroom for 2 nights ($20) and a private room with private bathroom for 2 nights ($30). Both rooms were clean but basic without AC. Leon is hot but floor fans were suficient at night. There were only 5 shared bathroom/showers for about 25 guests but we never had to wait for one. They are simple, cold water only and not cleaned often enough. The private bathroom was cold water only, too. The private batroom was. The restaurant serves big breakfasts for less than $3. Free coffee is available all morning. The wi-fi is average and the several free computers were really slow. The pool is clean and there are several comfortable common areas. There is a tour agency onsite and the hostel offers cheap transfers to Managua, Granada, etc. There are many restaurants close to the hostel. The hostel is 4 blocks from Parque Central.

We stayed in 3 different rooms here, 2 private and 1 dorm. The rooms were simple, clean and pleasant and having your own fan is a godsend! The dorms were hot, but it was hot everywhere (38*C +), maybe extra fans would have helped but the dorm was generally very good.

The pool is a great place to cool down; internet/wifi are good; some nice hammocks to relax in, in the shade. Cold showers are no problem in leon, because of the heat.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. Overall lazybones is a very good place to stay.

Lazybones was the perfect place to stay for our 3 nights in Leon. Right in town, close to the central plazas, one of the markets, the beautiful Basilica (make sure you go up to the roof here!) and lots of great restaurants.

The room was clean, had fans to help try to keep it cooler which was nice. The pool was incredible and refreshing each afternoon (pretty sure we went swimming every day) and the breakfast was pretty tasty, though it isn't included, you pay separately for this. (I would say you are better off to walk up to the restaurant on the corner and get breakfast there if you have the time.)

I definitely would recommend this hostel for anyone looking for a non-party atmosphere (though it was still a very social place, lots of friendly people). Also, it seems like the hostel puts money back into the local community and supports a lot of local initiatives, which is nice to see from a hostel and definitely the type of hostel company I prefer to support!

We stayed here for two nights in a dorm room and it was perfect for what we needed. The place was spotless, the showers had good pressure, the lockers were secure, and the bunk beds were comfortable. There were ample places to relax, in hammocks, rocking chairs, or by the pool. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lazybones was one of my favourite places to stay on our recent trip to Nicaragua. We stayed in a private room with bathroom and it was basic, but clean and all we needed. The hostel itself is quiet, very laid-back, with lots of area's to lounge about in - great hammocks and chairs to read and plan our stay from. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The highlight was the pool - so refreshing after a day of exploring the city or hiking a volcano. It was very clean and the perfect temperature. I'd stay at lazybones again next time I was in Leon.
