What a national treasure. Even though it was not a nice day.......raining, windy and cold.......we had a wonderful trip out to the Pictured Rocks. The scenery is gorgeous, the narrator on our boat very fun and we were lucky enough to have a park ranger on board and we learned so much from him. A must- see spot if you are up this way!

A must see if you grew up in Michigan and have never experienced the UP. The Pictured Rocks are pure, natural beauty. The shoreline is filled with so much color etched in the sandstone. Could never tire of the beauty. Personally I don't think it's for small children.

We took the Chapel Basin loop in October. This goes to Chapel Falls, Chapel Beach, Mosquito Beach and back. Trip is nearly 10 miles and took us the better part of 5 hours. Views are spectacular so take a camera. The hike is rigorous and probably not appropriate for anyone out of shape. Some up and down hills and over and around tree trunks, etc. Take water and snacks. Trail is well marked in most places.
