“Excellent for kids”
Reviewed June 21, 2012

This tour was very interesting. They have designed this so there is something new to see every 20 or so minutes - great to keep kids engaged. The boat was very nice to be on with a variety of sitting options - open, closed, above, below... You could see the painted rocks from a distance and a small sample up close. Very interesting shipwrecks and fun story to go with them - the navigator was excellent and fun.

“Chiily but worth the ride”
Reviewed December 26, 2011

The tour takes you out to float over several sunken ships. It is eerie to see ships resting underwater for well over a hundred years. The waters are so clear you can easier see the ships. The tour gives you plenty of time to view each site. You are way "Up North" so bring a warm jacket as the winds pick up quickly on the water.

We used Capt. Joe for a scuba dive to a couple wrecks out in the Bay. He was excellent and very knowledgeable.

“Just agreeing-Great Tour”
Reviewed September 8, 2011

We only had time to do shipwreck tour, would have liked to do Pictured Rocks as well, as you only see the beginning of it-very beautiful, but none of the arches, etc. Guides are informative & I'm not sure you could experience this anywhere else, at least not anywhere near here. I love taking my boys around & not really teling them exacly what we'll be doing. Was MI the perfect place for that! They don't care, they'll just bebop along and do anything. They are great at making sure everyone gets a turn to see everything, so it's worth it to sit up top (stairs are STEEP, tho) It was cool to see where Kid Rock recently filmed his Born Free video, then watch it online from home. Cute lil giftshop, clean restroom. My only tip would be, go as uninformed as ya can> I was so obsessed with seeing it, I kinda felt like I'd already done it, from research. There are meager refreshments onboard, I THINK you are allowed to bring stuff, but not sure. A cocktail would have definately hit the spot. Take a sweatshirt. They rent for parties, This would be one heck of a kids' birthday party. Dress 'em up like pirates and be the coolest parent ever. there were divers at the wrecks, that must be amazing, too. The water is so clear you can start to see parts before you even go downstairs. So..yeh, it was awesome. Also, careful w/ your GPS on the UP. We had an embarassing off road adventure like the people we make fun of on TV, then met a really nice family on the tour who had done the same thing! Just stick to the pavement & cross check with a good ole fashioned map (remember those?) You'll have a great time! Oh, they also take your picture to sell ya on the boat. I like that, but might have primped a lil...nah.
