I recently stayed here on a personal holiday and had two night booked at the Amaranthe Bay Resort. On check in they offered an upgrade to their spa suite for $30 USD per night which was worth the extra money. The suite was huge with a living area very comfy bed and a huge spa overlooking the pool and river. The pool at this property is so nice and so is the food. The best thing about it was the food and beverage staff. (I wish I wrote down their names) but there were a few guys that looked after us very well, with delicious cocktails and food and were very friendly. As a travel agent I would recommend this property to anyone, and will definately be back.

We enjoyed our honeymoon in Sri Lanka with mandatory stop at Trincomalee in this great resort. The place is perfect and magical to disconnect and rest on vacation, offers a pool overlooking the lagoon to end watching the sunset enjoying a romantic dinner tasting the typical Sri Lankan cuisine at tables located at the foot of the lagoon on a pier , very beautiful and romantic. Perfect location to walk to Uppuveli beach that is heavenly or take a tuk tuk to enjoy another nearby beach that is Nilaveli about 15 minutes away. The service and the people in charge of the place are very professional, friendly and attentive at all times, you feel at home! They were very detailed with us offering us a jacuzzi suite with breathtaking panoramic views of the lagoon for our honeymoon, highly recommended if you want to spend a beautiful holiday to rest and disconnect while enjoying the place, gastronomy and beaches of Trincomalee. We will repeat without a doubt!

We stayed here for three nights with our nine year old son and loved the setting by the lagoon. Our room overlooking the lagoon was large, spotlessly clean and had a lovely boutique feel. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The chef went out of his way to serve us vegetarian food, made hash browns for our son, which he was craving and even gave him some stickers for his cricket bat. The swimming pool is clean and really lovely with some shade when the sun got too strong. Complimentary bikes were great to have. It's the perfect location very close to the beach and a back street of cafes and a few shops. Can thoroughly recommend. We had a really lovely stay here. Thank you.

Room tip: A room overlooking the lagoon with a balcony would be your best bet.

So many good things to write about. The hotel is actually a boutique one and that's what makes the difference comparing to other hotels.
Our rooms were superb. Great swimming pool and bar area.
Friendly Staff who really care about you and constantly do all his best to make you feel that you're are the one and only in the hotel.
The executive chef Navindra did all his best to prepare for my kids their favorite dishes (they are very picky when it comes to food). His hospitality, kindness and talent contributed a lot to our great experience.
From the moment we've arrived till the end of our stay the lovely and smiley manager Anne was ensuring to keep us well (and beyond) satisfied.
The hotel is highly recommended. Period!
