Don’t eat here. The food is so so bad. We didn’t even order something complicated. Just rice with vegetables. It was inedible. We had one mouthful, paid in full and left. Funnily enough, the waiter didn’t ask us why we left 99% of our food untouched. We got the impression that he’s used to this …

Our Lonely Planet says it is an authentic italian restaurant. May be it was but now it is not italian and it is not good at all. The prawns were completely overfried and dry. Same as the squid.

High expectations after seen recommendations in two of our travel guides, but very very disappointed. Loud music, terrible (dog) food

We were charged 40$ for a room that stank like fish. The bathroom and common grounds were dirty and messy. There was no hot water in the shower a.d we had to wait 12 hours to get fresh towels and linen. We were served eight slices of toast (not great for those on a Paleo diet or for those with common sense who know that high doses of carbs is bad for your health), with burnt eggs and coffee/tea 20 minutes after our meal. Our tuk-tuk driver, recommended by the hotel, ripped us off, charging us 1000 rupees for a 5.8km drive, which should have been 50 to 80 rupees per KM. The wifi signal was weak. The other guests were very unfriendly, too; quite anti-social. The good thing, though, was that the manager was quite helpful. He let us change rooms, and reduced our rate to 35$. There are stray dogs that roam the property that are very friendly and quiet. We could hear loud trance music from another hotel down the road until 10pm nightly, which added to the "peaceful" atmosphere.
