if you want a brand new, modern, hotel with spanking new amenities, this isn't it. it is a historical location, which was originally a house (albeit an huge one), and it is a true original.

if you come to vigan to explore the the history, this hotel is a great way to compliment and make your stay more authentic. the hotel has beautiful original stained glass, woodworking, and Spanish tiles, a helpful staff, and is centrally located near the church, restaurants, plaza, and charming old streets.

the beds are comfy and the rooms are spacious. AC works fine as does the wifi in room. breakfast was included, a nice (and welcomed) addition to our stay.

This hotel has the best location in Vigan and its ambience clearly goes with the Heritage Statement being presented by the city. Situated in front of the plaza with the Heritage Village on its left side, row of calesas are in front awaiting guests to partake in the Heritage Tour. Accommodations come with free plated breakfast served by Hap Chan, their in-house restaurant. We stayed in a dormitory room, which has 6 beds, with LCD television, 2 split type airconditioning unit and a very big bathroom. Truly, the hotel to stay when you are in Vigan!!! Taekwondo Family awards the GOLD to Vigan Plaza Hotel!!!

Access to the hotel is not available on weekends. We have to pay a tricycle driver to guide us to the hotel which is located behind/beside the Vigan Cathedral. Some people are not thinking - they should have provided some detour to the location if they are to close some roads.

As expected, the hotel check in process is quick, but they are still using an outdated handwriting style to accept payments. Although the hotel has available wifi, I wonder how come they are not investing on computerizing their system to save on time.

The hotel is conveniently located in the Crisologo Street where really spanish era houses and buildings are abound. There are several restaurants in the vicinity and the hotel itself has a tie up with a chinese restaurant in the ground floor.

Nothing fancy with the rooms, high ceilings and large hallways, though creepy at times, but the hotel is ok - clean and helpful bellhops.

First at all ...it was a great stay in Vigan .

The location of the hotel is very good but it needs some renovations to male it even better ( La Luna Hotel has done it too :) )

The hotel is an old heritage house so d ont expect a modern hotel but what we saw was also not really expected from us . The rooms are a bit run down , the bathroom just so ....but the room need improvements and a paint job too . The aircon is blowing like hell and extremly noisy . the walls in our room was a bit mushrooming ...so not realy what i like .but the worst are the mosquitos .....in the room plenty of them and in the lobby .but the worst place was the new chinese themed restaurant in the hotel ...moquitos where ever you looked and nobody cared about that . i mean you buy a spray and kill them all in minutes but nobody really did ...so 1 time there and not come back . the food was also not what i expect from a restaurant in a "spanish" city . No paella , no Zarzuela but Chinese food in a sweet sauce ...irghhhhh . also the decoration was not fitting in an old spanish heritage house ...must work on it .

Come back to this hotel : NO . Come back to Vigan : Yes but to La Luna hotel ....

Room Tip: I think upper floor rooms are better then the one near the kitchen ...noise ....

This is a very good hotel in a great area.Vigan seems to be improving as each year passes. There are a lot more tourists leading to more decent hotels. Rooms are lovely and period in decor.Staff are very helpful and very friendly.Breakfast is very nice.My only little gripe is that the bathroom and shower in my room could do with a little upgrade.Other than that I really enjoyed my visit to Vigan and would happily stay at this lovely hotel again.

Room Tip: Be prepared for a very noisy Monday to Friday mornings, much much quieter on the weekends.

A centrally located hotel with the calesas (horse and carts for hire) just outside the front door. The room was relatiively okay but we often had to turn the aircon and ceiling fan on full-blast to clear the burning fat fumes coming in from the kitchen. The electric card unit on the wall in the room was shorting when we arrived and a member of staff tried but failed to fix it. The unit often fell off the wall hanging by its wires when we took the card-key out. We stayed two nights. On the first morning, the breakfasts were served late and we had to miss it entirely due to tour timings. On the second morning, the breakfasts arrived on time but stone cold and inedible. There is a nice common area on the 1st floor with a balcony overlooking the main square and this is a good place to sit and talk.

Very convenient location, as one explores the heritage village. The kalesas are just across. The hotel rooms feels home, wooden floors, wide cabinets, and the old fashioned dresser adds to the overall period-feel. The front desk staff can really help boost tourism by knowing a little more of other tourist spots.
