This eco resort is really a nature reserve in disguise!
The staff here are on a mission to conserve, encourage and protect the rich ecological heritage of this beautiful area of the Terrai region.

My partner and I were lucky enough to spend three wonderful nights here. The manager Dinesh took us for nature walks around the site and really made the place come alive! We saw antelopes, eagles, cranes and kingfishers, all within a short stroll of our lodge next to the river.
Real expertise and passion like this is hard to come by. If you are a nature lover this place is essential. If you want cable tv and shopping opportunities this is not for you!

The lodge was a good sized semi detached with a nice veranda. The resort uses solar power and wood burners for the showers etc. but also has generator backup. The food was healthy and hearty, made from local produce. After dinner we enjoyed quality time relaxing and chatting with the crew around a bonfire.

The resort is 10mins cycle from the north end of the Lumbini complex (bikes are available at the resort) which has got be the best way to explore the grounds without a guide. Also, as the resort fronts onto the main road, we had no problems catching our coach to Chitwan which Dinesh arranged for us.

Gentlemen, we salute you!
Good luck for the future of the resort and you're continued important work.
Thank you all for such great company,
You're the best!

Most places do Not evoke the natural beauty of lbg. Food is simple and wholesome. Breakfast is included.
A chitwan lodge in lumbini, a place the Buddha would stay.
Dinesh tries too hard to please.
The serenity and the song of birds do the job Just right.no problem Getting around from here , being in the town detracts from enjoying lumbini.

We stayed at the Lumbini Buddha Garden Resort in October, and really enjoyed it. Dennis was a fantastic host and shared his passion for Buddhism, botany and butterflies. The food was also great! Our only regret is that we didn't have much more time to stay relax and enjoy!

I stayed at Lumbini Buddha Garden Resort in November and had a really lovely stay. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and our room was lovely. The food was also really nice. The accommodation is set within some lovely gardens with lots of butterflies and birds. There are also rare antelopes wondering around, through the gardens which was amazing. We spent our evening around a big bonfire in the beautiful grounds of the resort.

The manager, Dinesh, took us bird watching/wildlife watching for a day and we really enjoyed it. Dinesh is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the local wildlife, and does a lot of conservation work.

We also spend some time visiting the birth place of Buddha and the surrounding temples which was very interesting. We hired some nice bikes and cycled around the development zone which I would recommend as it is quite big and there are so many temples spread over the zone.

Thank you Dinesh and staff for a lovely stay.

We were two ladies traveling on our own during the transport strike in Nepal, and the Manager and Director of this resort looked after us exceptionally well, even down to organizing an internal flight and purchasing our air tickets for us. We could not have asked for better treatment. They were absolutely fantastic in ensuring we returned to Kathmandu in line with our holiday schedule. Nothing was too much trouble at this resort which is very peaceful and quiet.

Room Tip: If you are interested in nature and the environment this resort is ideal for a quiet, peaceful stay.
