“A Step Back in Time”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

There are actually 4 squares in Bhaktapur of which this is the biggest. Make sure you visit all of them and give yourself time - at least half a day. The buildings are beautiful, pottery square is fascinating. You can spend hours just sitting watching life go by. Every minute brings something new to look at. We would love to go back - you somehow lose yourself in the place, the atmosphere is wonderful - good for shopping too.

“A must see”
Reviewed November 16, 2012

Super busy with locals when I went there as it was festival time and the markets were really busy. Lovely place and yes a guide was helpful, but I would have liked more time to stop and stare. I think it would be a great place to stay overnight so you could just meander around and happily get lost in the old narrow streets and by ways. Great temples, lovely architecture.
