This museum has 3 tickets in one (NRS 150), also for the wood carving and brass museum. Altogether it's ok. national museum has very bad lightning but you can see some traditional and very precise handwork. I think 30mins is enough for this as it's nothing special but one art museum in Nepal is a must i guess :)

no power = no lights to see pics, and they are almost all thangka paintings anyway so save your money unless its raining and you are bored, and there is power ;)

The exhibits are interesting however it is poorly lit and maintained. Good thing it only costs 50 rupees because anything more than that is not worth it. If you are into art history then you should drop by for a peek, if art does not interest you then you won't miss anything if you don't come here.

With daily power outages, seeing the museum can be a challenge for ideal conditions, but they do have generators and the staff were very accommodating, especially since we were so amazed by their collection, great!
