“Real cosy hotel, helpful staff”

I stayed here during Dashain for some days in October. The manager and staff were all very friendly and helpful. Location is good, 2 walking minutes near the centre with all the temples.
I kited on the roof with the kitchen staff. I will cherish the good memories.

Room Tip: The rooms at the street side are dark and very noisy with honking motors almost 24/7. Stay at a roo...

We stayed two nights in Cosy Hotel.
The location is so good... few steps from Nyatapola temple. Beautiful rooftop restaurant with good food and gorgeous breakfast.
Room was ok, so quiet (we were facing the courtyard). As arrived the staff showed us two different rooms letting us choose our preference.
In-room bathroom a bit small and uncomfortable but clean.

Great hotel right near the centre of the beautiful old town. Really friendly and helpful staff. Great food on the rooftop restaurant. We booked a classic room but got upgraded free of charge to a better room which was very nice and comfortable.

Cosy hotel was a bit of a disaster for us; it was recommended by the staff of a wonderful place we stayed in Patan, so we booked for two nights for $30/night, and we were told we would get a very nice upgraded room. When we arrived, we were showed this upgraded room, but then told it would be $45/night, then shown one more which would be $35/night. Then we asked why suddenly the price was increased on us. Not having a satisfying answer, they took us to a side room in a deserted corridor which they said would be $30 for the night. Later we realized the room was dirty and didn't have Internet. Late at night we experienced problems with the shower (no water at all for a time, then no warm water). When going down to discuss the water problems with reception, we realized we were *locked* in to our room/corridor with no way to get out. In case of a fire, this would have been bad news for us, and being Nepal, this made us nervous and very frustrated. After some time they realized we were trying to get their attention so unlocked the door, but hot water never came. We left first thing in the morning for a much nicer, better located, and cheaper place in town (Pagoda Guest House). To Cosy's credit, they did discount the price of the room when we left since our experience was such a disaster.

My girlffiend and I stayed here based on reviews from trip advisor and we were not disappointed. The people who run this place are genuinely lovely and can help you book anything with really good rates. The rooms are so clean and well maintained. Highly recommended for anyone looking to stay in bhaktapur (Kathmandu valley). When we come back to this city we would certainly stay here again.

After traveling for 5 months we wanted to rest a bit in Bhaktapur. We had sunshine, great food, a good visits….. But the best of all was our Cosy Hotel!!! Our room was very clean, with big beds and a nice bathroom. It has a very good atmosphere and that’s because all the staffs were very attentive of our needs. Rajiv and Basanta are very willing to help us in any way. Basanta managed bikes and the trail routes. They are very nice people. Because it was so nice, we stayed here for ten days. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!!!!
