I liked the atmosphere of the locals minding their own business and doing their daily jobs. It is worth visiting this site.

While your in Bhaktapur do go and see this square which is only 5 mins walk away. Old traditional pottery making and sun drying.

It is located in the centre of town, so do give it a visit. The square is not spectacular, but it is interesting to see how they make the pottery and how they live around the square. The pottery sellers are very friendly and they do have nice pottery at reasonable prices.

It was interesting watching the process of pottery making in a place that looked like it was set in the past. An old ancient lady making multiple trips to lay the pots out in the sun, seemingly an ancient way of life.
We got a few of the pottery items - there were a few limited one-off's which were a good bargain. was really happy with our purchases, only regret, we should have had more time there and gotten more.
