we stayed in the heritage hotel in bhaktapur for one night as an alternative to going into kathmandu after a stay in pokhara. and just loved it. lots of nepalese touches, art work and excellent staff and the food was great! there was a wedding in the town square which added to the ambiance.

What a wonderful experience we had at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and so helpful. The manager, Bharat went out of his way to make our stay memorable even providing a hot water bottle for my cold feet. Totally unexpectedly, Bharat also took time to accompany our group for a shopping excursion into the old city. Thank you again!

A lovely hotel with beautiful, spacious rooms - lots of artifacts and artwork from the area. Great food - one of the best meals we had in India. A great location from which one can walk and see some truly interesting sights! The staff was so warm and welcoming and the hotel is away from the traffic and hustle and bustle. A real oasis in the city - near and yet light years away. A sanctuary, a peaceful place to come to, after sightseeing and all that encompasses.

Room Tip: All the rooms seem to be lovely and spacious

What a superb hotel. Rooms are clean and tidy with a eccentric feel but all I saw were large enought to look like suites.
Watch the electrics as several people were getting shocks whenever they plugged into the mains !!!. I got a shock then stayed away from the electrics after that.
Food was good and the staff were extremely friendly
Location was great as you are only 600 yeards from one of the entrances to the Unesco heritage site that is Bakatpur. Remember you pay 15 USD to enter the town "every day"

Room Tip: Some rooms look out onto Bakatapur which looks great at sunrise

Dear Guest !

Namaste and Greetings from Hotel Heritage !

We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. It's pity to know that you have an bad experience with our electricity stuff which actually should not happen as everything is monitored and kept in order for 24 hrs by our electrician. However, after your feedback we shall investigate the issue again and assure you of not happening the same inceident in the future.

As for the entrance fee to Bhaktapur Durbar Square US $ 15, you do not need to pay everyday while you enter. When you get the pass, you can inform the authority where you buy your ticket that you will be returning for another day as well then they will have stamp in your ticket to validate for the several days without additional charge.

Once again, we would like to thank you for sparing your time to write constructive feedback on our hotel. We look forward to welcoming you again at Hotel Heritage.

Thank you and best regards,

Sabin Lal Shrestha

We loved our stay at Hotel Heritage! We were warmly welcomed by the wonderful staff who took care of our every need instantly. We arrived in the afternoon hungry, and their great chef cooked us a delicious Nepalese meal, served in their beautiful restaurant. Hotel Heritage is just a short walk from the walking area of Bhaktapur, and as we strolled there, we enjoyed interacting with the local people who were just going about their daily lives. A perfect snapshot of real life in the city. Our rooms were very comfortable and the decor was evocative of Nepal. The hotel manager, Bharat Pudasaini, was especially helpful, and catered to all our wishes, arranging our meals and greeting us warmly each time we returned. We loved this place and will certainly return if we go to Bhaktapur again.

A very quiet and comfortable place not far from the centre of Bhaktapur. Away from traffic chaos and the often medieval circumstances in Bhaktapur and rest of the Kathmandu Valley this hotel is a real heaven of peace. Food is fantastic and the staff is very helpful. Seats outside in a small garden and a rooftop terrace to relax and watch the the activity on and around the bridge to the city. Around the corner is the Barahi Temple. An excellent base to explore the many sights in the Kathmandu Valley.

Room Tip: Depends on what you want: I liked the corner room on the top floor. Not the biggest one, but lots of...

This hotel is a very pleasant experience away from the hassle of Kathmandu. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, good showers with constant hot water, and 10 minutes walk from the bridge to visit Bhaktapur. It was very quiet during our stay with the pleasure of no groups! Food was a little disappointing but otherwise an very enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Tke the room on the first floor overloking the garden and entrance
