I stayed at Krishnas house in Bhaktapur for three nights during a month-long trip to Nepal. It was definitely one of the highlights. AJ welcomed me into his home and always went the extra-mile to make sure that I was taken care of. The best part of staying at Krishnas house is it provided me a chance to meet (and get to know) a warm Nepalese family. Waking up to the sounds of birds and chanting was very pleasant after the horns and general mayhem of Thamel. One morning I did yoga (which is offered right out in the courtyard) and that was a wonderful experience I won't be forgetting anytime soon.
Bhaktapur itself is in the Kathmandu valley and is a world heritage site. There are beautiful and preserved temples and museums that I wondered around in for a couple afternoons. I cannot reccomend staying here enough, a real treasure!
