We stayed in this guest house the three days spent in Luang Nam Tha. We arrived with the bus from Luang Prabang and, even if we arrived at 4 o'clock in the morning, the receptionist gave us the room without paying the day. The cost was 50.000k per night (in low rainy season).
We got the boungalow number 6, with a very nice view. It was a little bit kitch and sometimes we saw some bugs... but you're in the middle of the nature and we think is normal!
The guest house was 5 minutes walking from the city centre, and got wi-fi and, if you don't want the bungalow, you can get the room in the "hotel". More confortable, air con, but not same view and situation.
Definitly good place to stay.

We booked this place via Teamworkz for 3 nights for USD 8,00 a night. This is absolutely worth the money. The bungalows are simple but have everything you need: hot shower, free wifi, free tea and water, TV (only with Thai and Lao Channels), nice own terrace with table and 2 chairs. The staff is friendly but speaks little English. What we liked most about this place is the very beautiful view. We liked the morning mist covering the paddies. We also had cockroaches in the room. There is also a guesthouse on the premises but we recommend staying in a bungalow. For breakfast and dinner you have to walk to the center which is a 10 minute walk.

The bungalows overlooking the rice paddy cannot be beat. The area feels rather peaceful and serene. The morning mist covering the rice paddy is a sight to be seen. There is a small sitting area in front of your room and a common area between every two rooms with hot water, tea leaves, mugs, and water. The rooms are decorated in what I assume are traditional handicraft or art and feel very welcoming in their rough wood. There are also sometimes delicious free small bananas still on the bunch on the walkway down to the bungalows. Laundry service available, wifi available, hot shower (warm really), and western style toilets. Staff does not speak much English but are very friendly. It can't really be beat for 50,000 kip for a bungalow.

The are a few downsides. It's a few blocks from anywhere in town, which can be a problem at night with the unlit bumpy road. Also there is a Karaoke bar and fair at the time I was there that you can hear at night, but luckily it is Laos so they shut down pretty early (I believe 10 pm?) Also they are bungalows near water so I did have to deal with the occasional giant spider (outside the room) and roach (inside the room). My neighbors seemed to enjoy my efforts to fence with the giant spider with a broom.

Room Tip: Get a bungalow!

We found out about this guesthouse by accident, from some people we met in a restaurant. We moved in to our lovely bungalow right after we saw it. It was gorgeous! It was cheaper than all the other places on the main street and it was more private, with tiny decks overlooking rice fields. Idyllic location! Tai Dam is the kind of place that makes you change your travel plans because you just don't want to leave! We ended up staying for a week, although we had planned to stay in Luang Namtha for 2 days tops. One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed in. One of the bungalows has an internet modem. Ask the nice owners which one it is. Strongly recommended!!!
