We stayed in the boat landing for 3 nights, it was amazing! the place was taken out straight for a fairy tale... the guesthouse is located next to a beautifull quiet river, all day long there are butterflys flying around and when the sunsets the fireflyes go out. the staff and owners are perfect and helped us however they could. the best guesthouse ever!
good for families and couples as well.

I enjoyed it very much staying in 'boat landing', a cosy place at the river. Instead of 2 days I spend 5 days there. 2 days canuing and trekking, then only relaxing: the nice riverview, the quiet location, the good food and the splendit service, daily cleaning, very friendly staff, especially Liam and his wife are very warmhearted helpful organizing driving, occacions, to manage almost every important situation, being open for every question.
I can highly recommend them and the boat landing!

Lots more village food options and scrumptious food. I had the roast potato and chicken hot pot. Great location overlooking the river and it’s only a little more expensive. 40,000 kip for lunch.

The place is far away from the centre: the real town is somehow like 4KM North to here. We were touring by bike the valley and the owner of our guest house had recommended us to stop here for lunch.

The prices are very high for Lao standards: you can expect the same prices in a nice restaurant in your hometown. The food is OK but for the same price you can eat like a king in France in any major city in Laos. For the half, you can find comparable dishes 4km north, in town.

I guess that ten years ago this place was quite "unique" in the area, but nowadays there are plenty of nice hotels, guest houses and restaurants at the city centre. And all of them charge prices and offer services up-to-date to modern real Laos.

Another point is that the place seems abandoned. We were told that the original owners had to leave Laos because problems with the local government. If this is the case, they should hire a manager: the place is certainly outdated and cannot profit anymore from being "unique".

It is far away from everywhere: the city centre was de facto moved to the north. There is absolute nothing to do here, no other restaurants or services such a motorbike rentals (50.000 Kip per day in the city centre). If you book your hotel here, you are sold to them.

Stopped here for lunch whilst on a bike ride through the villages.
Tranquil setting overlooking the river. Great food (sticky rice with dips).
Looks like a great place to stay. $40 per night. A bit out town.
