People from throughout South India throng here to seek blessings of Lord Saturn, who is known to be a Tough Taskmaster. Main Lord is Shiva by the name Darbharanyeswarar.Saturn has a Shrine seperately. Temple Is Good, but needs some management as Crowd of Devotees sometimes can go haywire.

Very holy place. In Tamil it is known as KAARI means black in colour. All the hindus do have faith in Pongu Sani, Mangu Sani, Ezharai Nattu Sani, Attamathilae Sani. One's own future is determined by this Sani Bhagavan. The Nala king got his life problems solved by having a dip in the holy pond called Nala Theerrtha Kulam. But the devotees should realise to keep this holy place in a clean environment. They should not leave their old clothing and footwear in the pond. Very very small village but with large number of visitors, including ministers, MLAs, MPs, Central and VIPS. Regulations are not up to the mark.. The devotees should behave themselves...
