“Lovely evening on the patio”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

Celebrated my birthday at The Tree Restaurant which is a part of the Gingo Tree B&B. Andrew, the chef, did a fantastic job on the food and the prices were very reasonable. We each ordered an appetizer of a stuffed portabella and three cheese onion soup. Great way to start the dinner. For our entrees I ordered a veal dish with thin slices of ham and swiss cheese, served on red-skinned mashed potatoes, with grilled asparagus and carrots on the side. My husband ordered a grouper dish served on a bed of angelhair pasta with grilled veggies on the side. The sauce over the grouper made this dish. Dessert was not offered until we asked for a menu, neither was coffee. I thought they may offer a free dessert to celebrate birthdays, like they do at Brass Cafe and Salon, but they didn't. We ordered a KY bourbon pecan pie and an Italian Lemon Dream Cake. Servings throughout the dinner were ample and delicious. Needs a bit more attention to the outside as the walk was littered with drippings from whatever landscaping was shedding at the moment and should have been blown off the sidewalk entering into the backyard. It would have been nice to have a tablecloth on the table to go with the linen napkin and a candle or centerpiece on the table. All in all, it was very enjoyable. We will go back.
