We usually stay at the Soaring Eagle Casino & Hotel but they could not accommodate our bed request, so we booked their waterpark hotel. This hotel was considerably cheaper than the casino hotel and does provide shuttle service to/from casino. We took advantage of a Spring Break package we found on the internet, and our room was $88.18 including two waterpark passes, and two queen-size beds in room. Great TV selection. Very nice room. We would definitely stay here again. Refrigerator/micro/in-room coffee maker/in-room safe included. We did not use the waterpark. We did notice that the facility has a guest coin laundry.

We had a very nice stay. We were there for the CMU Graduation Ceremony. When I booked back in Feb, I saw Soaring Eagle and "assumed" it was the Casino. I was surprised the hallways were quite since we have no children and the hotel was full. Great place for families with kids since it is the waterpark.

Room Tip: Make sure you are at The Water Park and not Casino. Families with children.

We had a great stay with an affordable waterpark, although it is not attached to the casino like I had anticipated. We purchased a suite with a separate bunk bed quarter for 2 of the kids. We went in late April because they had an amazing deal for $79 for a room for 6 with 4 waterpark passes (we had to purchase 2 extra, but they're very inexpensive). Clean, quiet and the water in the park felt so clean and fresh, NOT AT ALL overly chemically treated and stagnant. The only downside was our first room had a small leak from the ceiling because it had been raining heavily that day. When I called, within less than 2 mins, we had a new room and they were able to electronically change the room key from the computer, without us having to go to the front desk. Great service recovery guys! The park is the perfect size, able to stand in the small kid's play area and see the big kids going from ride to ride throughout the whole park. Life guards at every turn to ensure safety. My husband and oldest son spent the entire time on the wave rider (flow rider) which was the best "big kid ride." They could definately use more food choices within the hotel, but the Nbadke (late night) waitstaff were warm and funny and they never made us feel rushed or like we were keeping them, because we had arrived close to closing time. With it being a week night, there was hardly anyone there so we really enjoyed ourselves. I would 100% recommend this place for families with kids ages 2-12. Something for everyone, all ages and all sizes.
Me? I spent a great deal of time the AWESOME water slides, lazy river and hot tub.

Room Tip: Go on a week day (Monday - Thursday) during the off season. You'll have the whole place to yourself!

We were in town for my nephew's graduation from CMU and thought it would be fun to take our boys (13 and 10) to a water park while in town. The property itself seems to be in good shape and well maintained. We arrived late our first night and enjoyed some time around the fire pit. That night we were kept up most of the night by very loud guests in the next room. The walls are indeed quite thin. It was a terrible night's sleep. The next morning the front desk was able to (thankfully) let us switch rooms and the 2nd night of sleep was uneventful. The water park is small and geared more toward children in lower to middle elementary (or younger). On our last day we were running behind and asked for late check out and were denied this, even by an hour. The hotel parking lot was less than half full, the lobby was not busy and the we were put off by their inflexibility on the late check out. I give it an average rating - some things were very good, some things were ok.

For the same price you can enjoy an overnight stay in Boyne. Avalanche is far more accomidating to small children (3-7) also many more slides for pre teen kids. The life guards here are rude and very strict. Rather than feel like a guest they treat you like a burden. There are three small slides for children under 48 inches. They will not allow you to accompany children under 48 inches on the bigger slides. I highly recommend not coming here with hopes of the kids getting your hard earned monies worth.
