This place was absolutely amazing, the rooms were very original, and the breakfast amazing ! We spent Christmas Eve there, the power was out and there was a very thick fog outside so we decided to stay at the hotel, unfortunately the restaurant was fully booked but the owners managed to find us a table in another room, we were alone there and dinned with candles which was sooo romantic ! Definitely stop there for a night... totally worth the money !

Stayed as part of exploring the Blyde river canyon area in january 2011. We had a garden room as the artrooms in the main buildning where closed off due to carpet cleaning. Security was so and so. The room hade a romantic atmosphere. The private patio was nice and the garden was lovely. Poolarea needed maintainance and I did not take a swin due to murky water that didn't look healthy. Staff was very friendly and serviceminded! Breakfast was mediocer and nothing to write home about! All in all a rather tired place. But don't forget to take at stroll in the beautiful gardens!

On March 16, 2012 I drove up in front of the Graskop Hotel with my two senior women friends and we were not impressed. However, once we were shown to our garden room and saw that our car would be secure and close things improved rapidly. The gardens are beautiful and the rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and breakfast was delicious. It was quiet and very comfortable. A jewel!!

A very good place to stay, just in the centre of this small touristic village with many restaurants around. The garden rooms was nice and quiet, we could park safe just outside the room. Nice restaurant and a cozy bar. Good value.

Room Tip: If you bring your car the garden rooms was very practical with the luggage.

This is a lovely rural Hotel with beautiful gardens, the rooms are very clean and well maintained. Be early for breakfast if there are lots of guests.

Room Tip: Take a room in the gardens, although the main Hotel rooms are also very nice.

We stayed in a garden room which was handy for being close to your car. Rooms are light and airy. Not as interesting as the main arty hotel rooms but it is nice to be in the garden setting. Rooms have all you need, don't be put off by lack of air con as Graskop is typically cooler and more comfortable than surrounding areas. The hotel has a nice pool which is refreshing at the end of a busy day, helped by a drink from the bar. Breakfast was good, usual fruit and cereal options followed by a hot breakfast. Graskop is a lovely place to base yourself, the town is picture postcard, safe, quiet with nice shops and restaurants. Don't miss having a pancake either!!

Room Tip: Garden room, open area to sit and enjoy the gardens

What a fantastic find. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable, in the centre of town, excellent restaurant (evening meal and breakfast).

Travelled with friends (who had stayed here before). Stayed in the garden rooms (not in the main hotel). It was lovely - so good in fact I wanted to be left there!

Stayed in Graskop on the way to Kruger National Park - I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel - a gem in South Africa! A nice art gallery attached to the hotel as well.

The silk shop down the road is also worth a look.

Room Tip: Great swimming pool - we stayed in rooms in the grounds of the hotel - if you want to stagger back t...
