There is so much to see and do, you have many waterfalls to view, Mac falls, Mac Mac Pools, there you can have a picnic, it's stunning. There is Sabie falls, Berlin falls, Lisbon falls, all well worth the visit . There is God window, many many hundreds of stairs to clim, but breath taking views from the top, you have the worlds view near Gods window, feels like you walking in the clouds. Bourkes potholes is a must and cannot be missed if you in the area, that one is wheelchair friendly Most have a small entrance fee from R20 up. I loved every minute of it and would recommend it as a must too anyone visiting mapumalanga .

Mpumalanga is a Swazi word, meaning "there where the sun rises. I visited the Mpumalanga region after many years, in December with my family. The trek up Gods window was painful for me ( unhealthy) but worth it. Stunning views abt 900m down. Bourkes Luck potholes was simply stunning. The potholes and rock formations are carved from the rock by water action at the confluence of the Blyde and Treue rivers. I Rolled up my shorts and enjoyed the cool water. The trip down to pilgrims rest was for me a bit futile as one way traffic down the steep hillside was no fun. Loved the green lusg vegetation and waterfalls along the way.
Blyde River Canyon. This canyon is the third largest canyon in the world after the Grand Canyon in the USA. Simply beautiful views. Tip for families: carry lots of water, sunscreen and hats. dont forget entry fees at some places. most of all.. enjoy the journey and stop along the route enjoying the countryside.
Finding food places along the route in white river and hazey view was a bit of a mission during december.

Lots to see and easy to do in one afternoon. Make sure you eat when you can, because after the 3 rondavels, there are no places to eat!

My fiance and i have visited most of the waterfalls around Sabie and Graskop and found it very relaxing and good. Mac Mac pools are the best to have a picnic at. We love it there
