God was truly at work when he created the Panorama route. One should take their time whilst driving so as not to miss a thing. Wear comfortable shoes

Unfortunately God's Window was clouded, but the route and surroundings are magnificent. The route from Lydenburg to Sabie, Graskop and onwards is also worth the trouble.

It was well worth the money . A great way to see the natural beauty of this region. Our excursion took us to Bourke's Luck Potholes, God's window, 3 Rondavels, and the grandeur of many Falls, including MacMac, Lisbon, and Berlin Falls. My favorite was the Lone Creek Waterfall and The Pinnacle. Lunch was included at Krascop. A spectacular display of natural wonders.

Many people tour this route, perhaps just ticking off the views and the waterfalls. Be selective and take a bit more time. We enjoyed Bourkes Luck PotHoles especially and the 3 Rondavels view is difficult to beat. There are many quiet stopping places on the route which are unnamed and worth a look. Also some of the best value wood carvings on sale - but haggle a bit to get a sensible price.
Don't be put off by all the pine trees - this is the industry that keeps most people in the area employed!

Instead of what we hoped were african panoramas, we got as-far-as-the-eye-could-see pine plantations! Even the 'select' tourist spots like waterfalls had pines upto the edge. There were even pines to see from the lookout at Blyde River - a very disappointing experience. Not worth doing this route.
