(NB- this info is concerning the campsite. We saw pics of the chalets, and weren't impressed so we decided to camp instead)
The landscape is what it's all about in the Mpumalanga highveld, and boy is this an amazing spot.
Not only is Graskop 15 mins drive from God's Window, and 30 mins from Bourkes Luck potholes, but I'd rate the view into the Blyde River Canyon as the best in the area. It is truly breathtaking.
The camp site itself does not boast great views, but it is shady, with flat ground and good amenities. You are only a 1 minute walk from an amazing view. The site had a lovely family atmosphere when we were there (and we stayed for New Years Eve, probably a good gauge!) and everyone was respectful and quiet.
I've recommended this spot to all my friends. It's a beautiful, cheap way to enjoy the scenery.
BUT - find out when the rainy season is! We were rained out, grateful for the lacklustre but dry community lounge.
