The history of the Fort is fascinating and it has been kept in immaculate condition. Cafes and shops inside the fort are well worth a visit.

The camp is really nice and the room was beautiful. Unfortunately the infrastructure is horrendous in UK health and safety would close it down. There are wooden walkways throughout the camp with loose, broken and missing boards all over, handrails hanging off and nails sticking out!

The patio where the restaurant is placed is one of the best places to have dinner in Etosha. Rooms are also very nicely decorated. It is a pitty that the waterhole is not at the same level as the other lodges inside the park.

All the camps in Etosha are run by Namibia Wildlife Resorts, a parastatal, so do not expect to much. The waterhole at Halali Camp is at night almost on par with the waterhole at Okaukueje Camp, but one must walk quite a distance to reach it. We, however saw elephant rhino, lion as well as a few more exotic animals. At Namutoni Camp's waterhole we were unlucky and did not see much. It seems that very little maintance is done on the roads in Etosha as the roads is in general in a much poorer state than the gravel roads outside Etosha Game reserve. We did not visit the restaurants in any of the three camps, as we know from previous experieces that they ain't to great.

Great place to camp and the waterhole as a bonus. Something wonderful about watching these animals all co existing in their own surroundings.
