yep, just like it says. big weathervane. if you're into weathervanes and just have to see the biggest in the world, this is it. nice camping nearby, good shopping and access to lakes and rivers. the area has much more to offer besides the weathervane. check it out.
p.s. i live in Montague, so I see it daily.

“It is the 'world's largest weathervane' with a neat story!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2013 via mobile

Moved to the corner of Dowling and Water St (business US-31) from a small and sinking island in White Lake, this mammoth is a sight to see. Beautiful flowers surround the scenic and small park with beautiful views especially at sunset. Although beautiful and described as a 'park', i wouldn't recommend setting the children free to run around as this corner area is quite busy and there have been accidents there. I would recommend grabbing a "Dog n Suds" rootbeer and food from the curbside drive in a few doors down, head south across the bridge into Whitehall and take the first road to the right. There you will find Goodrich Park and City Marina. Plenty of room to run for the little ones(just make sure to keep them on the grass, due to the lake frontage) and even a pavilion to eat in. Walking distance to downtown Whitehall and the many little shops.

“Yup, it's big.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2013

This weathervane is quite large, however I am not sure that is is recognized as the largest in the world. Underneath the landmark is the story behind the areas treasure. As it was colder than I could handle that day, I did not read the entire description of the site.

It was worth a side trip to see in the area and located by a grocery store, I imagine in the summer it is quite nice to let the kids run around near it and burn off some steam before or after shopping.

It is located down the road from some great places to eat and near the Weathervane inn.

If you are there to see the site, I'd not imagine spending over 45 min here, but it is worth the stop none the less.
