Stayed at Weathervane for two nights concurrent with our daughter’s wedding. Very accommodating establishment. We had main floor room close to front entrance because we traveled with two dogs. Very dog-friendly place. Locals said the ONLY dog-friendly place in area. Our room was large and spotless. Huge in-room jacuzzi. If that was “the dog room” then it was wonderful. Relative had adjacent room, so with shared door open we had a huge suite! Continental breakfast was fine, nothing exceptional, but good enough to get your day going. It too was clean and well maintained. Very helpful front desk and housekeeping staff. This will definitely become our “go to” place on future Montague, MI visits!!

Dennis,

Thank you for your wonderful review and feedback. I am pleased to hear that we were able to accommodate you for your daughter's wedding. We enjoyed having you and your dogs here as we know that pets are family too. We look forward to having you and the fur babies back when you are in the Montague area!

My wife and I just wanted to recommend Weathervane. We stayed two nights Dec 12 and 13th and the guy we dealt with Brett did an awesome job at making us feel at home, super helpful with restaurants and directions. The place was super clean they really go the extra mile with the little things, like sheets and towels, hot tub water pressure, we had a shower head at each end of the tub. Our while trip was excellent, and again... just want to say thank you to Brett, awesome job!!!

Just spent two nights here in very cold weather! Loved it! Our room was large and clean, gas fireplace amazing, view beautiful and the jacuzzi tub a great bonus. This is a little thing, but it had the best and softest towels I have encountered in the last 5 years of travel. No thin, little towels here! Thank you. Then there was the evening clerk, Bret, who gave us all kinds of information on places to visit and made his delicious chocolate chip cookies each evening. He was so accommodating! I would have loved to sit on the porch in the adirondack chairs on our porch and take in the view from the harbor, but a little too chilly. Will do that the next time as the location is right on the harbor .of course, the views from our windows was great. King size bed very comfy and linens very clean. Only 23 rooms here, so not big and noisy. Breakfast is minimal, but we did not expect more. Plenty for us...make your own waffles, including blueberry with whipped cream. Yogurt, breads, muffins, bagels, etc. we will be back!!

Room Tip: Harbor view !

A more relaxing place would be hard to find. The hotel is located right at the corner of the lake in Montague Mi. Standards of housekeeping and politeness of staff are excellent and the views on the lakeside of the hotel are just perfect.
I would highly recommend this hotel as a romantic getaway especially in the winter season as prices are heavily reduced and the rooms are well sized and equipped for an intimate weekend with your loved one.

Room Tip: Choose a lakeside room.

This is a warm, welcoming place in a beautiful setting. Located on the shore of White Lake, the inn offers a wonderful view of the lake, with the boats in the marina next door providing part of the scenery.
The room had several windows, providing a feeling of openness to the lakeside scene. The picture with this announcement seems to be a picture of my room. It had a gas fireplace which helped take the chill off the autumn evening, in addition to the electric heat provided. The room was well-appointed and comfortable, and included a Jacuzzi-type tub.
The staff were pleasant and hospitable. A simple, but adequate variety of breakfast items were available.
One slight negative feature would be the lack of an elevator in a two-level building. But there are a good number of rooms on the first floor. This is a wonderful place and I would gladly stay there again.
