A more relaxing place would be hard to find. The hotel is located right at the corner of the lake in Montague Mi. Standards of housekeeping and politeness of staff are excellent and the views on the lakeside of the hotel are just perfect.
I would highly recommend this hotel as a romantic getaway especially in the winter season as prices are heavily reduced and the rooms are well sized and equipped for an intimate weekend with your loved one.

Room Tip: Choose a lakeside room.

This is a warm, welcoming place in a beautiful setting. Located on the shore of White Lake, the inn offers a wonderful view of the lake, with the boats in the marina next door providing part of the scenery.
The room had several windows, providing a feeling of openness to the lakeside scene. The picture with this announcement seems to be a picture of my room. It had a gas fireplace which helped take the chill off the autumn evening, in addition to the electric heat provided. The room was well-appointed and comfortable, and included a Jacuzzi-type tub.
The staff were pleasant and hospitable. A simple, but adequate variety of breakfast items were available.
One slight negative feature would be the lack of an elevator in a two-level building. But there are a good number of rooms on the first floor. This is a wonderful place and I would gladly stay there again.

This hotel is quite stately overlooking the Lake. Each suite has a Jacuzzi, gas fireplace, refrigerator, microwave and a private balcony. The rooms are spacious, having a couch plus a small dinette also. The room was immaculate. They provide a very nice breakfast.
They also treat you with warm chocolate chip cookies in the evening. The staff were friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable. Will definitely be back

Where to start? What an amazing facility and location! The location was wonderful, we went in the off season, before most of the businesses had reopened for the tourist season. That being said, there were plenty of businesses and restaurants nearby that were open. Whitehall/Montague is a beautiful small town which was smack-dab in the center of all of the cities we wanted to visit (Muskegon, Ludington, Grand Haven, South Haven, and Holland).

On arrival, the front desk clerk (Cindy) was amazing. She was warm and welcoming, and started a conversation about our vacation. She was a massive help in refining the details of our stay, which towns had what attractions that weren't terribly well known, which restaurants to visit, and other things nearby. Throughout our 4 night, 5 day stay, whenever she saw us she was so hospitable. Great staff!

Our room was wonderful. We were on the second floor in a "City-View" room. It was beautiful, and looked newly refurnished. There was a fireplace, two person whirlpool, a small sofa/pull out bed, and a small glass table with two decorative chairs. We also had a microwave, small coffeemaker and mini fridge. Everything was clean, fresh, and comfortable and the room just perfect, with a nice view of the town.

The continental breakfast was just right, in our opinions. Waffle maker, danishes, fruit, cereal, juice, coffee, oatmeal, and boiled eggs. No bacon, sausage, or fried eggs but I thought that they were unnecessary. A cute setup in the lobby, an extremely economical use of space. Just charming.

Honestly, I felt as if I underpaid for such a marvelous facility. Because our trip was in the off-season the rates were the same as any old Holiday Inn, which I felt truly did not captivate the value of this hotel.

The facility and layout of a big chain, but the love and thought of a Bed and Breakfast. If you are taking any trip to the west side of the state, please visit this hotel, it is well worth it!

We had room 107! it was quiet, great view, and a nice room. The pictures on the web sight are very accurate. I liked the yellow outside lights that turned on automatically at dusk. We stayed in mid September. nice weather!.

Room Tip: loved room 107! King bed, sofa bed, great view.
