I wasn't very impressed with this hotel ...... I think the hotel needs a major remodel .... Paint, new carpet... everything ! It also needs a bigger and better sign out front so people can see it-- I passed it the first time because I didn't see the sign...... The lady who was working the front counter at night was super nice but I felt bad for her because she was the only one there with a hotel packed full of people (because it was a weekend of bowling tournaments)...... She was trying to do the job of at least 2-3 people and she was super stressed out..... I was waiting at the front desk for towels bc they were in the wash still and she would start to do something and the phone would ring or something else would happen and I just felt horribly for the girl........ She should not have been left alone to work by herself when the hotel was that busy..,...... I was disappointed in the way the hotel looked as it was not as clean and "nice" as the website showed.... I would not stay there again unless things get deep cleaned and the building is remodeled..... Then I might think about it :) On a side note-- the beds were comfy!
Our bowling team reserved 5 rooms at the same time, but they were spread across the hotel. When we arrived (at around 11PM, after a long and tiresome drive) and checked in, there were two clerks at the front desk, but one of them sat there and did nothing while the other one checked in two different guests. Our bed had various hairs (not ours) throughout, and there was even a blood smear on one of the pillow cases.
We might have overlooked these frustrating and/or disgusting factors and given this hotel a better review, but apparently we chose Birthday Party Extravaganza weekend. There were multiple children's parties taking place, and the majority of the children were allowed to have free run of the hotel. There was constant running up and down the halls and screaming coming from the pool area.
Now, the icing on the cake: the people in the room above us sounded like they were stomping angrily every time they walked around their room, and it seemed like they NEVER SAT DOWN. We stayed for two nights, we were in the room most of the time that we weren't bowling, and there was never a time of day when there wasn't stomping and door slamming happening above us. The first night there were two loud crashes after midnight, and we alerted the front desk staff. The noise subsided but the stomping never stopped. The second night we had to call the front desk again when the stomping was keeping us (and our neighbor) up after midnight. This time we felt like the front desk clerk blew us off, and the noise never stopped. Needless to say, we got very little sleep either night, and our performance in the tournament that we paid good money to compete in was negatively affected. Even the free wifi couldn't help; it was so slow, pages took minutes to load. We would not choose this hotel again.
