“Very Comfortable”
Reviewed March 18, 2011

Agree with other reviewers - comfortable, clean, well-kept, convenient location. Definitely would stay again. Staff very friendly and helpful. Weekday breakfast was good - lots of choices. Minor complaint: Saturday's breakfast had a limited menu with only bigger breakfast choices. I was disappointed that weekday breakfast menu was not available.

By far the friendliest and more helpful service I've ever recieved in a hotel, and this is coming from someone who travels often. The room was very clean, everything was modern. Awesome service, esspecially for the price. Their breakfast was inexpensive but they had very large portions and great quality. Also, they have an awesome shuttle service I have not seen any place else. I would definantly come again, I highly recommend to anyone coming around to the area.

I stayed here overnight for a business meeting in town recently and was very impressed.
Friendly, easy check-in. Nice meeting rooms-food delivered for meeting by Big E's was tasty and fresh. The hotel rooms had many positive aspects. I liked the choice of pillows on the beds (firm or soft). Loved the walk in shower in the bathroom. And room was so clean!
I also used the hot tub and pool area. Breakfast buffet in the morning was tasty and ample.
Very reasonable rates for this newer property. I think the staff should be proud of this facility-the staff that I interacted with were very helpful and friendly. It was the best holiday inn I've stayed at and for sure I'd stay here again when in the area.

Would absolutely recommend this hotel. It's a newly-built property so everything was clean and modern. Had a whirlpool room (tub is rather small, however) equipped with a fridge and microwave which was very handy. The hotel has a convenient bar/restaurant with a varied and affordable menu. Room was very clean with towels that were surprisingly soft, not the typical sandpaper texture! Bed was comfortable with a choice of either soft or firm pillows. The desk staff was very pleasant and check-in was quick. I mentioned that we were staying to celebrate our anniversary and, later that evening, the manager brought up a complimentary bottle of champagne and a tray of chocolate-dipped strawberries with whipped cream! My only complaint had nothing to do with the hotel--some irresponsible parents let their kids endlessly run up and down the hall yelling and screaming during the evening AND at 7am....what is wrong with people?
There is a great indoor-outdoor pool, though we did not use it. Banquet rooms are also available. There is no continental breakfast offered, but there is a Bob Evans restaurant nearby. The TV could have been a little bigger, but 32" is acceptable. The bathroom has a nice night-light feature built in under the vanity. The height-adjustable showerhead was luxurious with great water pressure. We paid $130 for the night (Saturday).
There is a small business center available and free high-speed internet.

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. We found it to be clean and comfortable and new. Being a new hotel the decor was modern and very nice, with granite countertop in the bathroom, walk in shower, flat screen TV, and very comfortable bed. We didn't experience any outside road or highway noise, even though this hotel sits right beside US highway 10. With the bedbug epidemic everywhere, I took the time to inspect the mattress [under the sheets] and found it to be free of critters. We slept well and really liked our room. We are not smokers, and can tell if we've been given a room which has been smoked in [even if it's labeled non-smoking]. This room did not smell of stale cigarettes nor of other mixed 'old' odors. In the morning we went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast and found it to be very good! The coffee was great, the food was good, and the service was excellent! We will have no hesitation about staying here again when traveling through Midland.

I have stayed recently at both of these adjacent hotels, so I'll post this comparison on both. The SS has marginally better rooms, feels more like a suite and you can play your iPod through the radio. The HI has a proper bar and restaurant, although this is walkable from the SS anyway, it means that the HI has room service. HI has marginally larger pool. HI breakfast is better, no plastic plates and there are waitresses to help you, but I don't think it is usually included in the room rate. Neither hotel is outstandingly better than the other, so no need to agonise too much over which one.
