This lighthouse is definitely worth a visit. The docents were informative and nice. It was easy to get to and having the bricks exposed was nice to see. An interesting piece is that Little Sable is three feet taller than Big Sable in Ludington. The names have nothing to do with the size, they are named after the "points".

Awesome beach area with nice dunes and soft sand. Very clean beach with plenty of space. The lighthouse tour was interesting, but not much more than a walk up a staircase. A great place to spend the day on the beach, but there are no concessions or running water. Just out-house style bathrooms. Pack a cooler and you'll be set for the day!

We toured the Little Sable Point Lighthouse the day after we toured the Big Sable Point Lighthouse in Ludington. Both were very similar. The walk from the parking lot to this lighthouse was really close as opposed to the 1.8 mile walk. We preferred the look (brick) of the Little Sable, but the tour at the Big Sable was better as it was more informative, had a short video on the history, and the volunteer workers were genuinely happy to give the tours and very proud of the lighthouse. It was neat to see both.

We had an enjoyable visit to this lighthouse. Parking was easy and there is a fee to get into the state park. It was a nice walk from the lot to the lighthouse offering a couple great opportunities for photos. The view from the top of the lighthouse gives a great view of the area especially of Lake Michigan and the beach. Well worth the visit. I am glad we stopped to explore.

Make sure you have cash to pay for the MI parks pass for the day if you are from out of state. They did let us pay at the campground which we really appreciated. The lighthouse is beautiful!!!
