“Fantastic view”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

We stopped here on our way up the coast looking at lighthouses. It is easily accessible from the parking lot. It is in a state park so you need to pay to get in, then pay the society that preserves them to climb up it. Unfortunately the coast guard shut the light off this April, but the volunteers there told us they are working to get it back on. It is a beautiful light house and has a great view from the top.

“Neat piece of history”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

We took our girls to the lighthouse and climbed all 130 steps to the top. What a great view! There were some historical people around to answer questions and give some facts about the lighthouse. It costs $2 per person to enter the lighthouse, plus you need a State Park pass to get into the park to even see it. But it is worth it! The beach is right there, so you can stay and enjoy the area.

“Accesible”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

The lighthouse was easy to get to. Plenty of parking this time of the year. Early June meant no traffic, no crowds and therefore no rush to leave the area.

“Nice little spot”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

It's a small lighthouse, but they do open it for tours. There is limited parking. It's a walk over a little dune, and then down to the beach area. It can be pretty busy on the weekends in the summer. We usually ride bikes down there and take a little walk on the beach. It's a good place for a picnic lunch or wine at sunset.

“Beautiful”

You can not go through the lighthouse, but it is an awesome sight to visit. The dunes surround it. It is a must see if you are out by Silver Lake area.
