We made a very late stop here after the being on the candlelight historic tour and the guides were so accommodating. They definitely were very knowledgeable and had a passion about what they were telling you about. The home itself is quite extraordinary, and the historic society of Marshall has done a wonderful job keeping it up and restoring it to all it's grandeur. Definitely worth a stop if you are in town, as it ended up being much more than I expected it to be. The stories alone are very interesting.

The Honolulu House is a wonderfull rich piece of history in the small town of Marshall, MI. The detail that went into the painting of the interior walls is phenomenal. I would have guessed it was wallpaper from the era, but upon closer look (and explanation from tour guide), you find this was all hand-painted. The faux marble on each of the fireplaces was amazing as it was all hand painted as well. Take a couple of hours and visit this wonderful museum, the tour guides are wonderful and very knowledgeable.

The Honolulu House is an interesting and gorgeous piece of architecture. To think that it was once a private home...incredible. The guided tour is excellent and the painting inside the home is very much like the painting in the Capitol Building in Lansing. Beautifully done, and beautifully restored. Over 150 years old, and still a stunner.

I honestly didn't have very high expectations of the Honolulu house. I was wrong. The tour was very interesting, and our guide was fantastic. If you are in Marshall take the time. You wont be disappointed, the interior of the house is amazing.

Was very interesting tour of a Hawaiian Victorian style house.
Our tour guide, Pearl was originally from Hawaii so she was very informative about the details of the house.
