“Bakery and Coffee Shop Style”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

I've visited several times in the past year but for coffee and a pastry only plus the purchase of a loaf of bread. The baked breads are tasty and reasonably priced, but there does not seem to be anything special about the coffee and pastries.

The atmosphere is one of a counter of pastries and breads running about halfway down the rectangular floor area surrounded by the booths for a few patrons. They offer espressos made with one machine available which can create a line if you happen to order one when someone else also has put in an order for a specialty drink.

“Sweet Goodness”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

On every snowmobile trip to the UP, we make it a point to stop at the Huron Mountain Bakery in Marquette, MI and stock up on breads and treat ourselves to a few donuts and delicious filled cupcakes. They have a marvelous assortment of cupcakes to choose from...Boston cream dipped in ganache, chocolate fudge filled with dobosh, raspberry, and our favorite coconut cream filled. Our family's favorite breads are cracked pepper garlic swiss, jalapeno cheddar, and tomato basil. Next trip, we're trying out the cake...specifically the coconut cream cake.

“They have it all.”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

Breads, donuts, cupcakes.....you name it, these folks seems to have it, and the items we purchased were about as good as it gets. We only wish we weren't camping in a hotel, because the bread looked amazing.

“Bread, cookies, doughnuts, etc.”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

This bakery has it all. It is most popular for its bread, but the sweets are soooo good. They have the traditional doughnuts, muffins and cookies. The scones and croissants are very fresh and orginal. The cakes, oh the cakes. The cake flavors are also made as cupcakes, so you can try it out before buying the big cake. There is also many hot beverages like any coffee shop. The staff is very friendly
