Stayed one night travelling through the UP. Hotel was adequate but kind of old. Obviously management does what they can to keep standards up but time does catch up. Squeaky floors, old carpet, that kind of thing. Highway was kind of noisy. Overall it was OK though and when you travel with a dog there aren't many choices. I would stay again.

Stopped late at night after a long drive at the first hotel coming into Marquette from the east. This wouldn't be my first choice, as there were better looking spots in Marquette as we drove thru the next morning. This economy choice was dated and a bit shabby, but they found us a cot and we got to sleep for a few hours. About $100 included a basic breakfast.

At the price point of this motel we thought it was fine, the room was clean and everything worked. Even had a rudimentary breakfast buffet thrown in,something we have not seen elswhere at this price.
The real good point was the manager who was the most helpful person you could wish to meet and went well out of her way to make our stay more enjoyable.
We are two motorcyclists on the road for six months and if we could find accommodation like this every night we would be very happy.

Room Tip: Talk to the staff about your needs.

We were in Marquette to move our daughter into a house, but unfortunately it was graduation weekend for NMU so this was the only hotel that had rooms available....and now we know why! The price was jacked up the first night because of the weekend, but even the second night (Sunday) when it dropped back down was way overpriced. The place looks nice from the road with the dark green trim and cedar siding (which actually is a faux vinyl siding when you get close), but essentially this is an old fashioned roadside motel. While the shower was hot and the room apparently clean, the room was very small, the bed uncomfortable and the pillows...well, lets just say I have had band aids thicker than these! The wifi didn't work in our room since we were too far from the lobby, even we weren't the farthest room away, and the second day housekeeping was unacceptable....trash not emptied, coffee cup left on a table, toilet paper and tissues not filled, etc. I let them know we were displeased when we left. And, the breakfast...well, never mind. Go someplace else! What a waste of $!

Nice location, but our room was terrible. The toilet needed 4-5 flushes before it worked, the shower stopped working entirely when my husband went to take his turn. Clean but the furniture and interior was scuffed up and very worn. Everything felt really shabby. We were glad to leave and we are not normally fussy people. Breakfast was nothing to write home about, but passable. Very disappointing hotel. Not worth the high price. Definitely would not stay there again.

Pretty good view of the lake, convenient to town, but the property itself is pretty tired. Housekeeping definitely needs work, sinks and tub were soap scummy, corners were dusty, we would not stay here again. We passed on the free breakfast, chose to go down the road and pay. Staff was friendly. Value was okay since we used Choice Points for a free stay. You get what you pay for, I guess.

We really enjoyed the location of this hotel. Things were a bit dusty as US41 was under construction at this time. I wish it had a pool as it was unusually hot this time of year, but a nice mile hike on the bike path across US 41 will take you to the rest area and behind there you can get into Lake Superior.

That will most definately cool you off.

My parents had one room on one side of the building and us on another. The rooms had two sinks and that was very nice. The breakfast was pretty decent for continental style, and good for our visits into Marquette and the surrounding area. Would recommend and would stay here again.
