Wow, what a difference staying 'downtown' in Marquette, with a great view of Lake Superior, or staying out on route 41 on the concrete pads that masquerade for stylish motels. This place is historic, classy and personable with delicious food. You might pay a few more dollars for the hospitality, decor and personal service, but don't pass this place up! The only reason I gave them four instead of five stars was the greasy omelet this morning - but last night's pub food was fantastic - terrific whitefish from the lake and great service. The waitress this morning agreed the chef found the omelet unappetizing and took it off the bill. Great people, great rooms (ours was the Amelia Earhart room) and great location. Don't pass up walking the bike/hike path around the lake in the morning. Photograph the lighthouse from the sandy beach a couple minutes' walk away. You'll love it.

Room Tip: Spend a little more for a theme room. Might want to avoid rooms near the sixth floor martini bar - great spot with live entertainment but not sure if it would be noisy. Just ask at the desk.

This is my 4th time at this hotel. I have stayed in a regular room, king room, Presidential Suite and 2 room suite - so far my favorite is the 2 room suite - lots of room, fireplace etc and not much more then a regular room. The hotel is almost perfect each time but falls short with some sort of snafu or cleaning issue. Don't get me wrong, I love this hotel and will return every time I come up to Marquette. Much classier then the typical chains. Staff has always been friendly the the bar on the top floor is fantastic. Food is good and best of all - reasonable.
Walking distance to the lake, other restaurants, shops and so on. Get a two room suite and enjoy the ambiance and old world charm - you'll be glad you did.

Been to Marquette a number of times and the Landmark is the best place to stay and, in my opinion, has the best restaurant, Capers. Very old building totally refurbished, yet has the old world elegance to it. Stayed in a King room w/ jacuzzi. You also have to have a drink or dinner up on the 6th floor bar, Northland pub for a great view. Capers staff were very professional and the meal was as good as anything I've had in Milwaukee for the same price. Stayed at the other large chain hotels in the city and for roughly the same price you get a whole lot more hotel with the Landmark.

Good top floor bar. Good food. Uncomfortable beds. ServIce is poor for Midwest. Great location. Good breakfast room for meetings, etc.... Friendly bar tenders.

Will stay again bc choices limited.

We had a wonderful stay at the Landmark Inn. Great room, nicely furnished, walking distance to great restuarants and shopping. This would be my first choice when visiting Marquette again.
