The owners are so welcoming, friendly and caring. So enjoyed our conversations and laughter with them. This Inn and Pub is in a great location for all things in the surrounding Traverse City, M22 and Sleeping Dunes area. The food is delicious! The Inn needs some tender loving care - a deep cleaning throughout, new carpet throughout and the furniture needs to be steam cleaned. The bedrooms were clean and tidy but the gathering areas need some attention. New carpet and floors cleaned would make a huge difference. It is definitely a gathering place or 'place to go'. Great evening entertainment, bar service and food. It is definitely the Irish Pub to check out, especially on Thursday evenings! Thank you for a great stay Graeme and Michelle!

We were a party of 6 visiting the area on a beautiful Saturday summer afternoon and decided to stop here for lunch. Apparently they had only one waitress in the entire restaurant and it took us over an hour before our food was served. My sandwich was burned on the edges. Another grilled cheese sandwich had cheese only in 2/3 of it, and not much cheese even on that. The french fries were over cooked. When it took 20 minutes for the waitress to even bring us water and menus we should have gotten the hint and left, however we felt sorry for the waitress and thought maybe it would improve if we were patient. IF some of the staff did not show up for work, the manager should have stepped in. I'm not sure why this place is even in business.

We enjoyed our time here.
Our room was very spacious. Very Comfortable king size bed.
Their amber ale at the bar was about as good as it gets.
But, there are a couple of things you need to be aware of if you are going to stay here.
Breakfast is served at 9:30. A bit too late for early risers that are used to being on the road by 8:00 or so.
And, it is pretty noisy on the weekends. Between the bar noise and the live music, a quiet, restful sleep may need to wait until well after 11:00.
If you're one who stays up late and sleeps in, the Little Travers Inn is perfect.

Dined here last summer and received poor service and poor Mac and cheese. We tried again this summer as it is close to our lodging. While the patio and drinks were enjoyable, the meal was terrible. I ordered filet au poivre at medium temp and I received two well done pieces of meat encrusted in so much pepper it was inedible. I have ordered this dish many times at other restaurants and this preparation was new to me. Perhaps the restaurant's interpretation was just not my style but well done filet when you order medium is a culinary crime! Still hungry after $28 entree...
