The local place for fishermen and others to have a good breakfast. You would not go here for the ambiance, (think of a 60's era family restaurant) but the waitress was very welcoming to all and made you feel at home. A nice touch was to add both a raspberry and strawberry preserve with the toast for your meal.
Another positive example of a great family restaurant - I went early for breakfast and the place was super packed. Only 1 waitress for 50+ customers. Found out that the fishing tournament had been delayed (due to weather) for 3 hours and they all came there for breakfast. Another example of a "locals" recommendation.
Since it is a family restaurant - she was able to call in other staff who were there in minutes. In the meantime, the customers helped each other.... pouring coffee around the restaurant, helping her clean tables, etc. It was a great experience!!
